Unfortunately, my sins have become survival tactics from time to time. May sound silly to some, but kicking my nicotine and caffeine addiction in all forms has proven to be so difficult for me. Other things aren't so difficult and I've been sober for 8 years now! "We may be on different trains, but we'll end up at the same destination. Death could care less about your politics, race or class. Nah, only we care about that." Lecrae Once again, thank you. I see so much hate, even amongst fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Hate related to politics, race, social class, etc... We don't want to say "I hate" but I know that I'm guilty of that. I can honestly say that I've never hated due to politics or race, social class...yes. I've discovered that my internal bias is against people who look like they have a lot of money. I was raised by two teachers (mum mainly 3rd grade & dad HS band director)... We never were rich by worldly standards, but due to my intelligience I ended up at an elementary school for GT (gifted and talented). Many "rich folks" there & it rubbed me the wrong way. I hated seeing my friends being seen as or called "lesser than." I knew that wasn't the case in God's eyes. But, I allowed myself to start to view so-called rich folks as "lesser than." Obviously something I'm still struggling with in my late 30's. I'm grateful to have found fellow brothers/sisters in Christ through music. I am now in my 11th year as an elementary music teacher in the south. We have many cultures represented within the two elementaries I teach. Many Hispanic, African-American, Asian, Native-American and at my home school only a few Caucasian. So, that makes me the minority, which is just fine. This is my side of town... the poorer, more diverse side. I love my students and try to show Christ to them while staying within the law. I often use Lecrae, Andy Mineo, KB, NF & many others' music as examples or "pump up" music at school assemblies. The kids love it and they are able to hear positive examples from people who've grown up in similar situations as them. Thanks again for "All Work Together"!!!!

Lecrae, I was just about to send this to my youngest brother to let him know that I love him appreciate him, and also to tell him something that I have never told him which is, that I look up to him because of his physical strength and mental toughness. We never kicked it much as teens because I was older than him and had my own set of friends that I tried to keep him away from due to our dirt.
