“You cannot eat at the table of the Lord and the table of demons.” This is just like how the Pharisees criticized the Son of God when He dared to scandalously eat with tax collectors who had a reputation as evil as Hollywood celebrities today. “When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, ‘Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?’ On hearing this, Jesus said, ‘It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.’” (Matthew 9:11-12)

Lecrae is straight up defending and justifying himself participating in sin. He is saying that some one has to be the light in those places, but no one is leaving those parties changed. They don’t mind him being there because they know he won’t confront their sin. As true followers of Christ, we should care about souls being saved from hell, not an attitude of “you do you and ima do me”. Praying he truly wakes up from this deception he is stuck in.

He literally said in his video that they come to him thanking him for being around them cause he had a good influence on them wym? Also at no point did he say he partook in the things they did, stop assuming and putting words in peoples mouth.

@@ChicagoLights If he was a good influence on them, they would be inspired to change their lives. Words mean nothing if actions don’t follow. Him being there without any problems speaks volumes. If he were to speak up and confront the sin, high chances are he wouldn’t be invited to another party, but he went to multiple parties. The fruit speaks for itself.

As an ex-heroin addict, I would not take any self-proclaimed Christian seriously if they were hanging around the people and places I had been. As a Christian, you should be set apart. As soon as any of that stuff happened, he should not have gone to another party. And another. Jesus was the example for people, he hung out with them, not the other way around. You don't enter the den of iniquity to spread the gospel, not unless Christ Himself wanted you to do so. You don't partake or be around people and places willy nilly unless God has called you to do so. If He did, you don't go there to make connections.

I think Lecrae was bold and vulnerable to admit that he shouldn’t have been at these events and parties. As imperfect Christians we shouldn’t be judging or throwing stones at him. I do agree with you that he should no longer attend these events or look at secular artists/actors as great when their lives and agenda is the opposite of God’s. There are plenty of other places to spread the gospel and share his testimony. I believe it was God’s grace for him to leave those events unharmed and still with his soul and to be aware to NEVER return to those places. Pray for Lecrae and our other Christian family versus judgement.

Lecrae is on dangerous waters here.. I used to be like him before, and I kept pushing the limits more and more each time until I didn't even care anymore, and then it went downhill really fast... I would literally not be alive today if it wasn't for Jesus who saved me supernaturally, and filled me with the Holy Spirit and my life has been totally changed after that!! I also got the fear of God, which I didn't really have before, that's why I kept playing with fire. Let's pray for Lecrae guys!!

There is an epidemic of lukewarm-mess in the church. We have to be either hot or cold. If we are lukewarm He will spew us out of His mouth. These sinful acts should have been repulsive to him and his spirit. He didn’t heed the first warning and even when he saw what was going on he still stayed. I like this quote that goes "Jesus didn't hang out with sinners. Sinner hanged out with Jesus." People shouldn't be coming to followers of Christ because they are comfortable around them. Rather they should be going to the followers of Christ because their light is so bright, they cannot ignore it. And that is not to say as born again Christians we are ao perfect and deserve glory. Something hasn't sat well with me when it comes to Lecrae. I haven't listened to his music in years. I've lost any respect for him after him "exposing" why does he have to go to so many parties. After he described what he saw would've been the last time I stepped foot there.

We're not called to dismiss people for being lukewarm but to lovingly lift them up in prayer. God expect us to pray for people instead of looking down on their choices. You're where you are because someone prayed for you and only God saw them. Please the Lord by calling on Him for such people. Humility goes a long way not pride.

Exactly. It seems like people are just throwing around ’lukewarmness’ as a condemnation to death. If you see them lukewarm, you pray for God to use His Spirit and the people around him to convict him back. This is not how Paul would respond. AT ALL.

I don't know his walk with God, but the main issue I have is that he had to point out that he has been to "lots" of parties with various celebrities. I think it's one thing to say "hey I went to 1 or 2 to preach the gospel and got kicked out or wasn't invited back but they obviously keep inviting him there and he keeps going. To a new Christian I believe this would be very confusing to hear and possibly not the best example of how we should be as Christians (going to parties) all the time. We weren't there so we don't know what really happened but it doesn't sit well with me. I think this all also rubs me the wrong way because on his FB page, years ago, he made a post by either a stack of money or by a bunch of cars or something. It was both or one or the other and felt like he was flaunting it. That's when I stopped listening to him. It is sad because I believe his music was powerful in the beginning.

So, I hardly ever comment on videos, but this is important. In college, I got saved and born-again but I was a part of a fraternity that partied every week multiple times a week with lots of drinking and sexual immorality. I made the decision to stay in the fraternity and still go to the parties. I chose not to drink and I also chose to not sing any of the songs that other people were singing or really participate in any of the other things at these parties. What I found was that as I was there and in situations with people who saw that I was different and not doing the same things, I got to share my testimony and preach the Gospel literally in the middle of parties filled with sin and still remain unstained. This eventually led to one of my best friends in the fraternity, who came up to me at one of these parties telling me to, and I quote, “take me to church”. After a few months, he had given his life to Christ and began a radical transformation that led to him going into full-time ministry and reaching more college students on our campus. We began to go to these parties together and have seen a complete overhaul of the hearts in the fraternity that has served as the launching point for a revival on our college campus as a whole. Attending a party does not make you a sinner nor does it make you a part of the world. Participation in a party is not merely your attendance there, it is what you do while you’re there. Most Christians however don’t have the self-control to be in this environments and remain pure. But when you can, the light absolutely shines.

Lukewarmness is thinking you're in the light, true. But being in the light makes you pray others in rather than brushing others off as though they're done before God. God depends on the ones in the light to pull them in not dismiss them. There's no way you dismissing them, you'll remember to pray them in. God is still married to them, regardless, but we cancelled them out. What do you call that? Where's is God's love? Your love will draw them out of there back home to the light. We just don't give up. Keep the light shining. Do you imagine what a testimony it will be when he says he felt our love drawing him back, all because we kept on presenting him to God. Jesus's prayer in John 17 will be manifested, 'let them be one as We are one'. Won't that make God joyful? Don't you want to contribute to that all for His glory? I do. I refuse to cut him off as though his out of the Father's heart for good.

Not to mention if Lecrae had spiritual eyes and stopped idolizing these secular artists “greatness” he’d realize most of them already know the truth and have picked their side. Especially someone like Madonna. The amount of Satanic imagery plus openly mocking Jesus… She knows what she’s doing. This goes for almost all of them imo. Rap, R&B, country, hard rock ... all of them do it. Managers will tell you to hook up so he can get you with the guy. He’s trying to validate himself by saying “he’s had celebrities say blah blah blah” to justify his sin. I did this when I was saved, knew Jesus, prayed, had prophetic dreams, and so on but I was still in active drug addiction. I never surrendered. I would say Lecrae is probably saved, not surrendered. Just based on a judgement of fruit.
