Hey again !, Great Lecture, This preview really showed a much better lecture experience than I had initially anticipated. The straight-on camera angle is nicely done .I love the lecture notes idea and overall great skills erasing the board :) I would use a bigger board tho but hey :) Who am I to judge? I understand with any project there is a limited budget, and I look forward to buying and studying this course! Thank you

Thank you for your very kind feedback, I really appreciate it. Yes, maybe a bigger board next time 🤔 I would also love to get a really good camera, so I can make the video crystal clear. More plans for next time!

Hello Aidan, Thank you very much for all the effort you've put into both this course and your lectures. You have really made a difference in how I see CFD and given me the confidence to deal with problems involving it. With respect to your KZfaq lectures, is there any chance you might publish a video on Flux calculation or Riemann Solvers? Again, thank you much for your efforts.

I'm really happy to find this kind of information here. I'm doing a Master in CFD but this type of details are missed and what I really believe that students want to learn, are how simulators do this work. How can I find the course?

Hii, have you thought about accredit this course with an university?

Yes, this is something I would like to do. It is definitely of the same standard as what you would get at a University (I was actually trying to recreate the university experience as best I could)

Will this course be on Udemy as others?

I am trying out the teachable platform with this one so I can compare it with Udemy for the overall teaching experience. So I don't plan to put it on Udemy

i just came here to say that theres no need to fool people into buying your course. plenty of universities offer their lectures and lecture notes for free on the internet including youtube. Furthermore, there are many pdfs and open-source books to read on the topic if you search a bit. Charging for something that can be obtained for free is a SCAM

I am sorry you feel this way. The reason I spent years writing this course is there aren't actually any good sources for the SIMPLE algorithm at all on the internet or in universities (free or not). So if you find any good sources on the SIMPLE algorithm that actually explain all the nuances, I would love to hear them, so please send them over!

@@fluidmechanics101 It is not a feeling, it is the truth. Do you think there are really no resources ? Plenty of universities release their lecture notes, If you have google you can search for yourself. They even explain the theory behind it (riemann problem, roe solvers, limiters etc) which helps you design your own robust theory-based solvers.
@fluidmechanics101

Ah I think I see the confusion here. The Riemann problem that you refer to (Roe based schemes with limiters) are for compressible flow problems, where the characteristic nature of the solution involves wave propagation. Yes, you can find finite difference based approaches to solve these types of problems online. However, this is not what I am presenting here. The course is focussed on incompressible flows (with an elliptic pressure equation) and using finite volume based solvers, with the Rhie and Chow correction. This is fundamentally different to the types of problems you refer to, and different solution methods are required! This all arises from the nature of the continuity equation (and is explained quite heavily in the course). If you still feel that the information I present is available online, please let me know (you can send me links to my email address fluidmechanics101@gmail.com if you like). I have really tried my best to cover everything that is available and present in a clear modern form. If I have missed something, I would really like to know about it!
