What I have seen, where the ribbon cable connects, there’s a bad connection. What I seen him do is run a jumper wire. If you are not that familiar with electronics. If you are looking to fix your tv, #1 open your tv, and take (detailed, where you can sit comfortably and inspect all of the components (the stuff raised from the board) and verifying that one is not burnt melted or damaged) pictures of all of you boards. #2 you need to find a video with your symptoms, then pause the video when they point at a something (that first circle was the origin of the signal, the second circle was the drop off point (there was a break between the two circles). #3 when he pointed at the first circle, pause the video, look at your picture and look for his first point (the first circle) there will be near a major component such as a ribbon cable connector, or next to a black square or something. #4 find the second point on the video, pause, and look on your picture.
