What are the usage of HDMI, HDMI ARC, Optical Port, USB and Ethernet ports.
On HDMI you can connect different multimedia devices like laptop, DTH Set top box, home theater. On USB you can connect pen drives, external hard disks, keyboard, mouse, 4G Dongle etc.
Also some brief about RCA ports like composite AV connectors, components video ports.
We will also tell you that how to connect home theater to TV using HDMI ARC and optical cable.
This video is very useful for all who have TVs or going to buy smart TVs.

Hi, my VU 4K TV is connected to Videocon HD set top box via HDMI ARC. There're 2 extra HDMI ports but TV signal shows only when connected to HDMI ARC port. Now I'm going to buy Zebronics 9200 Dolby Digital Plus Sound Bar. The Sound Bar needs to be connected via HDMI ARC port. So either I hv to use Soundbar for OTT content on TV or disconnect sound bar and use TV for set top box. Is there anyway both set top box and sound bar can be connected to TV??

It is not clear why video not showing on TV if set top box connected with other hdmi port of tv except hdmi arc. You can connect set top box to hdmi port of TV and change tv input from remote. Check other devices like laptop or pc using hdmi 1, 2 and if it is working it should work with set top box. you should connect with HDMI eARC as dolby atmos can pass through eARC only, if a TV has eARC than through HDMI only eARC is possible not through normal HDMI.

Please advice about TV & Soundbar connection . I have one an android TV containing three(3) HDMI port (no ARC or e-ARC port). One HDMI has engaged for set top box(HD) and other two are spare. But in Soundbar there is HDMI ARC . Also Optical port is present in both TV & soundbar. Please guide the connection between two for receiving best sound effect.

If soundbar is 5.1 channel or 2.1 channel optical port is ok for best sound output. You can connect TV to soundbar using optical port.

Pen drive se hdmi ko connect nahi kar sakte, aap jis usb to hdmi ki baat kar rahe ho vo kewal display adapter hota hai, pendrive ke content ko read nahi karta. Buy an android box or use laptop.

I think there is no device to upgrade arc to earc as hdmi version will change that requires higher bandwidth output. But some tv can transmit dolby digital plus over hdmi arc. that you can search in your tv specification on google.

dolby digital plus also support dolby atmos but that is lossy codec that can pass through hdmi arc. if tv content support dolby atmos. But there are very less content on streaming apps those having atmos. dolby true hd is lossless codec that requires higher bandwidth and hdmi earc.

As per specification available on internet this is not a smart tv you need to purchase amazon firestick or mi android box to use streaming apps like netflix, prime, hotstar.

Tell me what are the different ports in your tv, if you have av input like yellow, white and red rca cable than you can connect using hdmi to rca connector. Components video is different than av ports. In this video is divided into three cables. Some old dvd player have this cables.

4K tv me kisi bhi hdmi port me laga sakte hain. Full HD resolution ke liye hdmi 1.4 sufficient hai jabki 4K TV me hdmi 2.0 ya 2.1 ports hote hain.

TV ke hdmi arc se soundbar ke hdmi arc port se connect karna hai. Agar aap ko kisi device ko soundbar me seedhe connect karna hai to hdmi in se device like firestick aur hdmi out se tv ke kisi bhi hdmi port se connect kar sakte hain.

So if i have one hdmi of set top box connected to tv and one hdmi from soundbar connected to hdmi ARC port of tv so total 2 hdmi connected. Now if i watch tv from tata sky the audio will come through tv speakers or soundbar. Looking forward to hear from you sir.

Sir I m having Lg smart TV . It has 3 Hdmi ports they are 3(MHL), 2 , 1(ARC) . So when I connect my set-top box to 3rd (MHL)port it works but my MI 4K android box when connected to either 2 or 1 port it does not works . what is your tv model number. you can connect mi box to 3 nos as it is working, dth set top box to 2 nos and home theater to 1 no that is arc port. All your tv sound either it is from mi box, dth stb will route tv to home theatre.

i buy optical wire and digital analog converter but in my sony music player system it is not supporting dolby sound any option there to dolby sound from tv to music players

In anolog dolby digital not supported you have to connect using optical port or hdmi arc from tv to soundbar. If soundbar not have these both ports you will get 2.1 channels using aux port or using bluetooth.

most of new tv supports dolby digital 5.1, jab tv select karna hai to uski specification or feature dekhne hai. Agar futures me dolby atmos soundbar bhi connect karna hai to hdmi earc port ensure karna hai.

Most of tvs has usb 3.0, check your tv specification that it has usb 2.0 or 3.0. For media streaming like video and music usb 2.0 pendrive will also work without any issues

Connect your set top box, streaming box like mi box or firestick or laptop into hdmi in port of soundbar. From hdmi out connect to tv using hdmi cable.

audio not support aata hai to hdmi se bhi nahi aayega sound. Ho sakta hai tv ka movie player file ko support nahi kar raha hai. You can try with laptop if the same problem showing.

Using traditional av port you can connect or some 3.5mm to av connecters also provided in some tvs shown in this video. Check tv specs before buying.

मेरे पास पुराना tv है जिसमें ARC पोर्ट नही दिया हुआ है और मेरे पास SOUNDBAR है जिसमें ARC पोर्ट दिया हुआ है। तो इस दोनो को ARC के द्वारा कैसे कनेक्ट करें बाकी AUX, COXIAL केबल का साउंड उतना अच्छा नही दे रहा है , तो ऐसे कोई CONVERTOR का नाम बता दीजिए जिससे ये प्रॉब्लम सॉल्व हो जाय

in soundbar using pendrrive we can only listen audio video will not work in tv, if you connect pendrrive to tv sound should come in soundbar using tv with hdmi arc or optical.

there are generally three options for soundbar optical port, hdmi arc, and aux. Some TV have av connector red and white for audio out for that rca to 3.5mm male cable will be required. Check the pot behind tv carefully.

Aap set top box kisi bhi port me laga sakte hain. Agar soundbar connect karni hai to hdmi arc me connect na kare vaha se soundbar ko connect karna hai.

kitna kharcha aayega vo to tv service center hi bata sakta hai, but you can upgrade your dth set top box to hd box with hdmi out port so no need of av port for input.

for HDMI arc hdmi version 1.4 is sufficient. Most of normal hdmi cable works on hdmi 1.4.

@@nazrulislamemon06 what settings you are doing. Connect soundbar and tv with hdmi arc port in both tv and soundbar. In TV select sound output as hdmi arc, in sony soundbar select input as TV from remote. Turn on and off both tv and soundbar while both are connected with hdmi cable. Also check by connecting another hdmi cable.

@@nazrulislamemon06 you can check working of your soundbar using aux port and bluetooth. If it is working than you have to check with some another TV from your friend or relatives. If it works fine in another TV than you can factory reset your TV or contact to customer care.

sir ji please help me मेरे स्मार्ट टी वी मे HDMI -1, HDMI -2 एसे दो पोर्ट हैं और अभी कल हमने जैब्रिनिक प्रो डॉल्बी 9400 मॉडल लिया है और उसे टी वी के एचडीएमआई पोर्ट 1 से साउंड के एचडीएमआई से कनेक्ट किया है और टीवी के सेटिग में जाकर साउंड सेटिंग में भी चेक किया है पर आवाज नही आ रहा है कुछ मदद आप करे तो बेहतर होगा प्लीज

it is possible in some tvs like in samsung but you have to connect home theatre or sound bar using bluetooth. Go to settings, General, accessibility, multi audio output turn on.
