Been dazed and confused for so long it's not true
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you
Lots of people talk and few of them know
Soul of a woman was created below, yeah
You hurt and abused tellin' all of your lies
Run around sweet baby, Lord how they hypnotize
Sweet little baby I don't know where you've been
Gonna love you baby, here I come again
Every day I work so hard
Bringin' home my hard earned pay
Try to love you baby, but you push me away
Don't know where you're goin'
Only know just where you've been
Sweet little baby, I want you again
Been dazed and confused for so long, it's not true
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you
Take it easy baby, let them say what they will
Will your tongue wag so much when I send you the bill

Led Zeppelin - the baddest rock band that ever walked into a recording studio or stepped onto a stage. They are definitely blues-rock band but their music incorporated so many styles, including funk! Some might disagree with me, but Zep could be funky! Listen to Trampled Underfoot, Bring It On Home, The Lemon Song and The Crunge (their homage to James Brown). In their live shows you can hear them playing bits of songs by the Isley Brothers, Isaac Hayes and Stevie Wonder. Master guitar God Jimmy Page & the incredible rhythm section of John Bonham and John Paul Jones could REALLY jam and Robert Plant's voice is powerful and intense and in my opinion, soulful. There's never been anyone like them.

This really takes me back to the summer of 1970 when I saw Led Zeppelin play live at a Concert in Reykjavik Iceland. They did this song and it was once in a lifetime experience. They also did another song which they later changed the lyrics after this visit to my country. This song is called Immigrant song and the lyrics starts with "We come from the land of the ice and snow From the midnight sun, where the hot springs flow ....."

Jimmy Page, as the leader of the New Yardbirds had a contractual obligation to play some gigs in Sweden but the New Yardbirds had broken up so he decided that his new band would fulfill that contract. This was a youth TV show and the kids in that place had no idea that they were witness to a seminal moment in rock history. I'm not sure of the exact amount of time they had been together, but this is the first recorded live performance of Led Zeppelin.

@@umpdaddy1 it's hard to understand that they were 'always' amazing. no other band comes close. zep was four virtuoso musicians and jimmy page let them do their own thing. so incredible.

It’s really fun to see folk discovering music that I think a lot of your audience, myself included, have taken for granted. Most of your videos that I’ve seen, is all stuff that I spent a lot of my youth listening to, and honestly I’d forgotten about the wonder I must have felt when I first heard it. Keep it up guys!

This reminds me of MJ Fox as McFly playing the guitar fast is Back to the Future. They weren’t ready for that kind of music. Zeppelin is light years ahead of their time, but the audiences eventually caught on to greatness, especially in America.
