Raw. Powerful. Seductive. Dangerous. The early menacing lurch of Led Zeppelin injecting the deep hard blues into rock music giving it the heavy metal thunder that would serve notice to all bands that followed. This also your best look so far.

Ok this was in 69 very raw and new. If you really want to blown away. The 1973 Madison square garden version of this song is very refined and perfected. Probably one of the greatest all time live performances ever made. In reality now you have become a fan,you need to watch the complete movie. "THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME" It was filmed in dolby surround sound and was made to be viewed on the big screen. It was filmed over 3 nights in msg . There are fantisy sceens for each member, Jimmys was Dazed and Confused., Robert Plant's was "The Rain Song", John Paul Jones was "No Quarter" and John Bonham's was "Moby Dick" this is a must see for any zep fan

Rick Johnson, I agree with you on this recording being shall we say. 'less than' AND that Madison Square Garden 73 is a 'great" recording. The movie SONG REMAINS THE SAME is great in and of itself and they used the Madison Square Garden footage for SRTS. Anyway you are absolutely correct ✌🏽

All of zeppelin one songs except one, was shoplifted, Jimmy didn't wright the song.. Great version by zeppelin, but they didn't write it... Jimmy should of given credit to the original owner.. I see once Atlantic records bought the catalog the did when the started remastering their songs...

40 some seconds in & you are playing your air-drums!!! Jimmy's riff in this one is HEAVY!!!!!!!! These guys are GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Jimmy was always coming up with new sounds and techniques. Such as a violin bow on a guitar.. Lots of reverb and some feed back on this one. I think those are the correct terms....???? A great song by a brilliant rock band!!!!!! One of the BEST EVER!!!!! PERIOD........................................................................................ Rock on lady....... Have a Merry Christmas and be safe!

Jimmy often did things with his guitar that others did not do --- he would change the tuning, add in delay, and reverb, play with a violin bow, etc!!!! Zeppelin was a band composed of musical BAD asses!!!! Each one a master of their craft!!! This may be one of the reasons they have sold 300 million albums worldwide. That is a bunch of vinyl!!!! Plus their music is SO DAMN GOOD................................. Take care beautiful woman and have a safe and happy new year!!!!!

Here Jimmy is playing his famous telecaster he used in the New Yardbirds and early Zep. He first added little sick on mirrors all over the guitar, then about six months later did a psychedelic paint job mural copying Eric Clapton's SG. He soon after had there money to switch over to Les Pauls'. Fender, with his help, just released the two Tele reproductions.

LZ fans have strong opinions (as you may have noticed :D). This is my personal all-time favorite live version of "DAC." You can't go wrong with any of them, but this is my jam: they were young; Plant was in full wail mode; Page was saying, "Effects? *I am* an effect." You know it's a really great song when it helps inspire--- at least one great movie about the Seventies...

Your wide eyed amazment when Jimmy pulled out the violin bow and made his guitar make sounds that are other worldly. The song you should react to is the tribute to Led Zeppelin sing Stairway to Heaven, in front of them. Side note Jason Bono, the son of the late Led Zeppelin drummer is on the drums for this amazing live performance! After that watch the live version of Baracuda

When you do more Zepplin reactions. You need to react to the younger years of Robert Plant. That’s when his voice was at his most powerful. Started to lose it in 1973. So I suggest you start reacting to 1970 Royal Albert Hall. You reacted to whole Lotta love from the concert. I suggest you react to the entire concert one song at a time. Or how the West was won it’s a merge of two concerts from 1972. Or listen to some bootlegs. The Boston tea party bootleg the bootlegs from Los Angeles.

This was great except Zeppelin got all blurry at 1:01, rendering them invisible for the rest of the song. The quintessential version of Dazed and Confused is from "The Song Remains the Same" (1976), the concert film of the 1973 Madison Square Garden shows in New York City. THAT captures the heart and soul of this song and the band. It's long, but it elevates from a show to a magical, mystical, spiritual experience. Well worth the investment of time. To me it's the best live performance by a rock band ever.

After watching this about 10 times now, I think I can confirm Rebekah is at least a little bit cute. She gets it tho.

And according to page Jake Holmes and Jimmy page were friends. And Jake Holmes gave this song to Jimmy. It wasn’t until after Zepplin immense success that Jake Holmes wanted some money. And that happened with every other group who Thought that Zepplin borrowed from them

Liked the recorded version much better than this live one, 1 plus was that Jimmy Page did a great job on his guitar version, very creative. Thx Rebeka :)
