Rock n roll is the song that got me into zeppelin as a 12 yr old boy. I'd go with the Beatles. zeppelin, beatles, pink floyd are the best 3 bands ever

This track is one of my favourite tracks form Zep, worth listening to for Bonhams drumming let alone the rest of the band playing and Roberts voice.

this was from Led Zeppelin IV which came out in 1971 (4th album) Their first LP came out in 1969 so it was still pretty early. Songs like this have given me many a speeding ticket if you know what I mean?

I can tell you really liked that one because you didn't stop once and just listen. Hello from England x

This song came from their fourth album, in 1971. You can say that it's from their earlier years. The song after that one, on the album, "The Battle of Evermore", will give you something very, very different from Led Zeppelin. About "Rock and Roll", Ian Stewart, an original member of the Rolling Stones, played the piano parts. Led Zeppelin invited him to play on another song, "Boogie With Stu", on the Physical Graffiti album. As for the third band you want to listen to, I would recommend Deep Purple, "Child in Time". I recommend this one because you like signing, and I get the feeling you would enjoy signing to this one. :)

You are right on the money about Chuck Berry, yes this song was indeed influenced by not only Chuck Berry guitar riffs, but Bonham beginning on the drumming was the into to Little Richard's Keep A Knocking. Good Ear by the way.

This is the evolution of music. African-Americans were the progenitors of blues and rock and roll. The best of the Caucasian musicians perceived the quality of the earlier works and brought them into present day. Should be one big family but we're not there yet.

Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and choose a third. Who would you put in there? Deep Purple for one. In particular where John Lord goes off tripping on the organ & starts including bits of jazz and classical music and blending it all into the rock. There's real musical talent there. Dire Straights. Sultans, then go Romeo & Juliet. "Juliet, when we made love you used to cry," Then do the long extended live version of Telegraph Road. Finish up with Industrial Disease. Listen to the music and the funny voices, but most of all listen to the words. Most pop music is meant to have words that sound like they mean something, but really they could mean almost anything. Stairway to Heaven a perfect example. But Dire Straights had specific things they meant and that's what they said. And it was so clever and so funny and so bitingly true.
@akulkarn4 жыл бұрын
Its not a sexual innuendo the song is somewhat a response to critics/criticism of their previous album which was largely more acoustic and softer in nature. That is the context of been a long time since I rock and roll is.

you Scribe, I just discovered these reaction videos a few weeks ago and I love yours, so I am sharing with you my idea to bust through to the next level of reactions videos - the "Who Did It Best?" format, where you listen to the original artist recording of a song, and then a (preferably well-known) cover of it. Examples are "Summertime Blues" by Eddic Cochran and "Summertime Blues (Live)" by The Who, "Don't Be Cruel" by Elvis and "Don't Be Cruel" by Cheap Trick, "C'Mon Everybody" by Eddie Cochran and "Cmon Everybody (Live)" by Led Zeppelin, and so forth. YOU'RE WELCOME!!!

Heart, Aerosmith, The Doobie Brothers, ZZ Top, The Who, ACDC, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rush, Bruce Springsteen, Grand Funk Railroad, Sammy Hagar, David Bowie, Ted Nugent, Queen. For something eclectic try Emerson , Lake and Palmer. For a little vintage I recommend Diana Ross and The Supremes. For punk rock, definitely The Ramones and The Sex Pistols .Add in U2, Nirvana, and Pearl Jam and that should keep this channel rocking until you are in a nursing home with old age. Thanks ScribeCash! I'm glad I found your channel. You do a great job. Keep it rockin!!! (O.K. add in The Beatles and Rolling Stones, too although I am not a huge fan of either band they were some of the most influential, if not THE most in early rock history.)

Aerosmith might be cool. Early stuff rocked pretty hard. Steven Tyler did some awesome vocals, good songs, lots of double talkin in the lyrics (songs like Big 10 inch (record), Woman of the World, Adam’s Apple). Joe Perry was very original on the guitar stuff, doesn’t sound like other bands much. You nailed this one, catching the Chuck Berry groove. 👍
