That would have been my parents in the late 60's and 70's, $67 a week, a stay at home mom and 5 kids. Seems like a whole different world. I love the line " Don't outsmart your common sense, and don't let your praying knees get lazy." That is how I grew up. Wish I could go back.

Same. Slowly working through his reactions to the music I grew up on- from classic rock, to country, pop, all of the good stuff. So many memories, and hearing these songs that I haven't thought of in forever and being surprised to find out I still know all the words... Seeing him have the 'correct' reactions. It's awesome!

This song reminds me of my grandpa ...my "grandma" walked out when my youngest uncle was a few months old literally stating " I dont want this life ...I didnt sign up for this ".. She walked out and never came back.... my grandpa remarried a lady who I call grandma .... together they had 8 kids ( he has 6 and she had 2) ... he worked at the local mines and my mom said he would go to work with an empty lunch box so they kids had what they needed ...he worked his tail off and was married to my grandma 20+ years...they where called crazy alot .... they passed away months apart ...... true love always finds a way ...hard work pay offs ...crazy can be a blessing ❤😍

Lee Brice is SO underrated. He's hands down my #1 country singer. My personal favourite is I Don't Dance followed by Rumor. Also suggest Sirens, Boy, Hard To Love, I Drive Your Truck, Drinking Class.

This song always reminds me of one time my family went out for my grandparents’ anniversary. When the waitress came up and asked what special occasion brought 17 people to that restaurant, my grandmother said it was their 50th anniversary. The waitress exclaimed, “TO THE SAME MAN?!” Of course my grandmother said yes and the waitress said, “Oh, we need to go get some drinks!” My grandma is gone, but my grandfather and all of us still think of her. Especially me whenever I see the tattoo I got in her memory.

Lee Brice is underrated, period. "That way again", "see about a girl", "A woman like you", "that's when you know it's over". Also Florida Georgia Line "Grow Old".

This song is being played at my wedding as the anniversary dance. My grandparents will have been together 58 years and had 6 kids, 5 girls and 1 boy. My grandfather was in the air force and my grandma is one of the toughest people I know. It’s amazing to see that there are still people who work for the love they want!

If you liked this song, look up Lees song called Boy... It’s now very hard for me and my husband to listen to because our son died in 2018 at age 20 and these things that Lee sings about in this song remind us of all the years we were gifted but now all the years we lost. It’s a great song for fathers and sons. ♥️

I’m the youngest of 20-some grandkids, and they also have 20-some great-grandkids with more to come cuz there’s like 7 of us who haven’t had kids yet (and some that may not be done! Lol)

The problem is more and more people are searching for love in the superficial, while fewer and fewer people search for it in the existential. It's easy to find someone who's good with the physical nature or has money or makes you laugh, and in a world filled with instant gratification fewer people care to take the time necessary to search for what they rightfully deserve as a person.

Back in the early 1900’s my great grandpa worked on the local railroad transporting copper and he made 50 a month ( we have an official letter stating it a few times) he had his. First son at 65 and my grandpa then went on to have 6 kids both my grandpa and great grandpa worked there butts off and you could see the years of hard work in there hands and faces they paved the road for us they both showed me to that hard work and love and prayers will get you far in life with your partner .... I love this song

I met my husband at 16! We dated 3 months long distance to the day! Then on June 10th , (I was 17 and he was 18) we got married! He made $200 a week. We didn't have a vehicle. We got had our first son 10 1/2 months later! I almost died during childhood birth to our son. I stayed in ICU for a week! Let's fast forward 4 yrs later.. I had our youngest son on my 22nd Birthday! Three weeks later , my husband's job landed us in SC! After the job was over and our oldest getting ready to start school the next fall; we decided to stay and build our new life there! Eight hours perpendicular away from BOTH sides of our family's! Within five yrs, my husband started his own Tile and Marble business on Hilton Head, SC and became one of the BEST "small" Tile and Marble companies on Hilton Head! Until the economy fell, we had a great life! But, we lost it all. We stayed together! This June 10th, it will be our 31 Anniversary! I've loved this song since I first heard it! All his family told us, we'd NEVER make it! We've outlasted BOTH of our parents marriages, all of our siblings marriages and his Mom's other 6 marriages over the 30 yrs we've been married! I call her the "Real Blanche Devereux " Lol
