I learned to play Maiden songs with three fingers in the 80's and was flabbergasted to find out that Harris only used two a few years ago. I got a lot of credit in high school for being able to play Maiden with my fingers, though.

Disneyland is no longer The Happiest Place on Earth. That title now belongs to Andertons Music UK. I have followed this channel since fairly early days of Chappers & The Captain. Loved their chemistry and their videos. I'm not going to lie to you: I went through separation anxiety when new reviewers started appearing instead of Rob Chapman. But later reviewers Rabea, Nathan, Bass Lee, Danish Pete, and now Cici have turned out to be great. Such nice, fun, and extremely talented musicians are such a pleasure to listen to and learn from. It's fun popping into that faraway funhouse Andertons and hanging out for a while. Keep 'em coming, Andertons. MB Winnipeg, Canada

I love the bass start to Radar Love which sets the track up. Every time in see Cici she reminds me of the late Burke Shellley from Budgie. (who has sadly passed away). Both with the hair, all black clothing and being tiny. They were the first big band I saw live which must have 1973 and we heard the track "Breadfan" which set the venue "on fire!"

I really love this format! Cici and Lee are the such a great fit for it. It is so inspiring to watch you talk what excites you and how you tick; I absolutely love the bass and even bought one although I never got around to learning it properly due to an accoustic bass not being that useful as a standalone instrument. 😉 I play the guitar reasonably well, but when listening to music quite often the bass lines are getting me much more ecstatic than the guitar riffs... Keep those videos coming...

Nice selection of riffs. Great to hear a Norman Watt-Roy CLASSIC in there. That was a (peasant) surprise. Lucky enough to have seen him play in the past. Loved the vid. Don't know how i missed it before. Thanks for yet more interesting and entertaining content. As for favourite basslines, sooo many I could mention. ON the more obscure side, I have to big up the famous so-called Glorious Ohm Riff courtesy of Gong's Mike Howlett, although I suspect Steve Hillage may have come up with it as a guitar riff. In similar vein would be Ayurvedic by Ozric Tentacles. On the Hillage side of things, the bassline to his track Unidentified Flying Being from the Nick Mason-produced album Green, is a funky space wonder. If no-one has mentioned Tony Levin then I would have to include his bassline for Peter Gabriel's Don't Give Up, and of course Sledgehammer which was done on his signature Musicman I believe. Sorry for the novel. Loves me a great bassline. Thanks again for the vid :-)

For me “I’m a man” by The Spencer Davis group made me want to play bass.

I really got started with dave Matthews band- ants marching, and rage against the machine - bomb track. Very different songs but just made me want to play bass. Looking back I was way off with my attempts at playing them, but that's the danger of youth in the early Internet era.

I'm gonna be honest. I found the Andertons channel to be a little bit boring lately. Cici and Dave bring a much needed swing of fresh air to Andertons ...just my opinion.

Agreed. And As much as people like to hate on Rob Chapman, his videos back in 2015 and 2016 and earlier with Lee were hilarious. It felt like you were just hanging out with friends. Now the channel feels much more like a sales tool, and I’m not blaming Andertons for that. They’re a business and i understand, but it was way more fun before.

Cici is an incredible player and has such infectious good energy. Looks like her and Dave are becoming main stays here… I hope that’s the case because I can’t think of any more deserving people.
