When you ride a dirt bike or anything like that with a manual transmission, you kind of know how to ride in the power band better. Give Chris some more time riding it and he'll get it. It's a sports bike engine, needs to be revved high and not being lugged in the higher gears at lower speeds.
@Thor555555
@Thor555555 4 жыл бұрын
@@Ratkill9000 my first thought "finally someone who knows how to drive a manual shifted vehicle" so you are absolutely right, it´s absolutely recognizeable that chris isn´t used to ride any kind of shifted vehicle.
@lennym1273
@lennym1273 4 жыл бұрын
That's what happens when you drive nothing but automatics, he ( Chris) forgets to down shift when he slows down then try's to take off in higher gear then it should be in, I'll bet ya he doesn't keep track of what gear he is in, just shifts...

@@Ratkill9000 I agree with what you said. I have been riding dirt bikes and street bikes my whole life so I totally get what your saying. First off I think that is a really cool build. One thing I think would look really cool because the shape of your build already looks rounded, is trying to fit an old Volkswagen body onto the build. If it fits correctly you wouldn’t have to worry about water or any other elements while you’re driving. Also you would have a Baja bug and that’s always cool.

Well I like the fact that you let someone who knows how to drive take the wheel so you can learn quick. That's how you learn! He's nothing exceptional but out of respect for your home built car I'm sure he was being cautious. I've been riding and driving bikes and then cars since I was 10 years old and the only way I got faster was going against others that were faster and usually A LOT faster until I was at the pro level eventually.. You have no experience with going fast which is obvious from past videos. However you are a very good fabricator and are learning very quickly how to build real quality vehicles. Your tenacity and work ethic is outstanding! You have a big future in front of you! As for your driving? Sac up and go big, push things to the limit. That's the only way you learn and from others that go way faster than you. This is experience you will gain in the near future. Good luck to you kid!

Ok, so, you really need some mudguards for the front wheels, don't need to be anything fancy but it definatly needs them. Also I think that the wheels a touch on the small side, if they where maybe 2-3 inches bigger you'd get much better performance. One thing was very evident in this video, Lee understands about keeping the engine in the powerband, the throttle response is way better when the engine isn't struggling from the power basement.
