People keep mistaken, but never was it mentioned in the original statement that he left due to focusing on his acting but rather for rehabilitation purposes. If that was the case, he & his agency would have given the same reason as Joong Ki. By now, clearly he only opts for seasonal variety that suit his physical & mental condition. And about “his acting career hasnt improved really” nonsense, dont worry, he’s currently shooting for 2 NEW DRAMAS & expected to release soon 😉 be sure to catch that

@@hollowgene i never said it was stated anywhere. However, it was very obvious why he left and that the rehabilitation stuff was just the official excuse. If it really was for rehab purposes - wouldn't he have returned by now, given that his body has fully healed most likely? Yet he didn't return. Joongki left while he wasn't as huge a part of RM as LKS became after over a decade on the show. Leaving just like that to focus on something else, LKS would've been very burdened to just say that outright. Anyone reading between the lines easily saw why he actually left.

​​@@rcmanizationhasn’t improve LOL!He had a great acting career even when he was in RM!Since leaving RM all of his projects did good numbers.He'll be returning to small screen with No way out and Karma(Netflix).Both of them are thrillers.He had rejected two or three projects during this period! He left 'The Zone' just because it’s filming was conflicting with 'No way out' filming

I don't agree he's not really playing the same rm character. From my view point starting from 2020 something changed in his rm persona most things he did became extremely exaggerated or were about him looking ugly, doing weird things (disgusting things) or being the doppelganger of that one old korean basketball player. Pre 2020 was closer to his real self but just in a natural comedic way. That change might have something to do with his car accident which was around the beginning of 2020 but who knows? In the newer shows he does joke around in a similar way yes but overall seems much calmer and real now than his 2020-2021 rm character.

Well, in life, sometimes plans cant always go like how they were when we first planned it. I think maybe thats what happened to Kwangsoo. Or maybe there were other reasons that never get disclosed to public (which is his right to not share about it, if thats the case). If anything, whatever his reasons are and whatever he is doing now, i think as a viewer we just need to let it go and if you want, support. I mean, its not like he is harming others or causing unpleasant situations to others, right? Lets just wish him and the rest of the RM members the best

bold of you saying he wanted more spotlight do you even regularly watch running man? the games in this show are done in extreme way even tho there's no longer nametag ripping but some of them still requires each body parts and with the accident happened on him that hurt his ankle permanently ofc he wouldn't be able to do the best of him in almost every games that's why he had to gave up running man the one and only show that made his name bigger in the industry and he had no choice but focusing in acting which safer for his ankle. even on busted he only ran unlike on running man when you have to fully use all body parts for some games
