People always seem to criticize and ridicule that which they don't understand. Lee is a living legend, one of the best ever, and any seasoned player knows this. Whether you love this music or not, it's to be appreciated for its craftsmanship.

I don't understand songs like this. You have a natural organic sounding drummer, bassist and guitar player and then a keyboard that sounds like something you would buy in Zellers in the 80s.

Thank you. This performance was in Seoul, Korea. Recorded and broadcasted by EBS(Korean broadcasting company). And it was HD(High Definition). :) I recorded full length of this video on HD. ^^)V But it's size if about 7.5GB. T_T

Harry Kane, that’s crazy. Folks are too much into the main stream it’s pathetic. I really appreciate Lee Ritenour and all these guys for their music. Their all awesome. Shows what each one can do individually. Awesome musicians.

I don't dislike this but the version with Simon Phillips is more my style.

Yep, totally fits. The main guitar motif starts on the "1". I would say it's felt in 4/4 plus 3/4, and of course it would be written in 7/4 time sig.

If you don't like it - don't watch it - don't comment on it - don't start a conversation on youtube about it. Just go watch Slipknot and let us enjoy some real music. I swear, I just can't get away from KZfaq idiots to absolutely must argue in the comments of every video! It's amazing. Anyway, your Slipknot video is calling.

This has become a standard track Lee pulls out when performing live to demonstrate a little bit of several different musical genres.....basic rock, little fusion, little smooth jazz, little vamping, and some slick instrumental or solo improvisation. The version of this he plays with Mike Stern which is on Y-T is best in my mind because Lee is not using the "red guitar".....lol. He uses his Gibson sunburst Les Paul solid body which resonates rock treble sound better, overdrives better, and even lends itself to slide. But, at its core, this song's template isn't a complicated arrangement.... but largely a "hook" melody line with minimal accent thru octave chords.

Again; if you don't love jazz when it's played with this sort of skill and passion, there's something funadamentally wrong in your neural pathology! Love it! This is why, it's not the antiseptic, watered down, monotonously copied "smooth Jazz" formula that's killing the enthusiam for jazz in the listening community!

@bertdanger Music is not a matter of age it never has been. Commenting is something you do when you have knowledge of the music you're commenting on. Topography is something you get at primary school. Which cave do you live in?

I don't see an honestly arrived at observation as "intolerant" I appreciate the talent of all musicians, I do however, reserve my right to allow my personal likes or otherwise to temper my opinion of same. As a musician of many years f training, I'd like to see "cutting edge" musicians have their place in the market.

dave grusin: change the organ part during the chorus, it interferes with the melody.. move down an octave and comp more.
