I think it's therapeutic for him. Like mentioned here, he must have had many mental breakthroughs to reach the point he is now, where he can talk about it somewhat easily on camera. The joking never seems to go too far (at least on camera) and it forces him to continue facing his past. More importantly, the joking is always good natured and from friends and supporters. I think this is his way of atoning and coming back to relevance, by sharing what he has learnt through his experience, and copping some fun at his expense for television.

And that was one of the evidence that he was cleared from that issue of being owner/part owner of that club. Secondly, this case was A HIGH PROFILE CASE. Even the President of South Korea pays his full attention to it so that whoever was involved in all alleged crimes from rape, prostitution and etc, should be apprehended and be done with it.
