Suhyun and her brother (Changyuk) moved from Korea to Inner Mongolia for five years as children where their parents were missionaries. The family had financial hardship and the brother and sister were home-schooled by their mum. Suhyun learned piano and her brother learned the guitar. They have been in the Korean entertainment industry for almost a decade.
