@@kallolo90 His smashing is no longer deadly as before. In the past, LZJ game control was not that good, but if any of his opponent were to lift the shuttle, it is almost as good as giving away a point. LZJ needs to spend the remaining precious time, getting back his smashing power besides mantaining his current game ralies ability. Need to train more hours before Olympics

@@weehan5654his smash is still powerful, literally peaked at 497km/h in Malaysia Masters not so long ago. Shuttle in Australia Open is slow + Kodai Naraoka's defense is very good, that's why he tried to win points using other methods, rather than smashing recklessly

@@weehan5654it's not less powerful, just that he doesn't do full power smashes as often, because that style has been countered easily by opponents. He has learnt to do more placing and only smash when there is an opening.

@@dannylim246 I agree theres many kind of smashes, some does not require much power but angle accuracy . However, there were situations whereby LZJ was in a position where he was supposed to execute a powerful smash but he just lacked the killing power. For example, Naraoka was lifting the shuttle to LZJ's far right hand. LZJ anticipated it and leaped to his right and was in the position of executing the right hand cross or straight smash. LZJ eventually smashed straight. Naraoka did not expect LZJ to leaped at the far right, but LZJ just cant finished the shot because of his lack of power

Need a lot of patience when play with Kodai and it is painful to watch especially when with an explosive player like LZJ. Kudos to LZJ for his enormous cool and patience to seal the game.

seems like LZJ was well in control of all 3 games and was testing his own mental fitnes against KN. Its almost like he was practicing his mental agility; spending time learning various player styles through the tournment (because his physical ability and stamina are already exceptionally well tuned and ahead of the pack). The surprising thing to me was he was doing this with KN whos far from a push over! The other players in previous rounds were are far apart from him in ability but KN as well who actually can attack as well!! wow plus 5 down in the rubber! We have got a champion now! #malaysiaboleh

First set: easy win for LZJ (note: a bit careless of LZJ at end-point, KN almost making his comeback) 2nd set: KN give his super power and lead this set.. 3rd/final set: KN maintain it's super saiya, but LZJ improve a lot on his defense+increase patience+careful less error.. Jia still have much room to improve, particularly on the anticipation of return shots after putting opponent in difficult positions. Accuracy on shot placement to all four corners must also be more sharp, need to create more time for such return shots.

Felt myself wanting Naraoka to win this and he got so close, he just lacks the smash penetration of LZJ and because of that, the rallies are longer but then tend to favour the stronger attack.
