Originally written for 26 episodes, executives abruptly cut it down to thirteen, forcing several loose ends to be tied up hurriedly late into the series and some characters' backstories being unexplored and their issues left unresolved on-screen by the time it ended. The director was not happy about this at all, plus this decision has helped contribute to a lot of the flak this show has gotten.

I'm a dude!! I don't cry to cartoons......😭😭😭 lol JK, for real, not many anime's have made me shed a tear like I did with this one. Another one that made me cry like crazy was a super old 70s anime called 'Alps no Shojo Heidi' pretty much the anime version of Heidi in the alps. That series made me cry my balls out, however Angel Beats still managed to make me shed a good tear as well, especially the ending.

This is so good oof-- This anime hit me so hard with the feels train, you have no idea. Like, I know this is supposed to be a little serious, but after I finished watching Angel Beats (this was when I was like, 12-13), I just bawled. I bawled my little tweenage heart out. And then there was a knock at the door. I was still getting over my grieving and I was like "oh no" because I was home alone and didn't know what to do. So, my dumb self went to open the door and it was a police officer and I was like "oH NO". Turned out there had been some burglaries in my neighborhood but I didn't really care so much about that rather than the cop asking me if I was okay because I had clearly been crying before I came to the door. But yeah that's my Angel Beats anecdote.

I just watched Angel Beats for the first time, and it's one of the few anime that has made me TRULY cry. The ending, the music, it's all just so beautiful.. It's definitely one of my favorite anime and i'm definitely going to watch it again some day for that ending song.

@@TheFlowerWeSawThatDay not long ago someone recommended Anohana to me for the same reason...and honestly, Anohana is beautiful but the group doesn't really feel like a group, so it's not THAT sad imo. Very little emphasis on side characters, everyone except two MCs are forgettable and not very fleshed out... and the key theme is companionship but it was lacking in the actual anime. Angel Beats does a better job with this (fleshing them out, creating the sense of union and making you attached to the cast), and that's why the deaths&the ending are so depressing :/

I've noticed from these music videos where you're in front of a microphone that you tilt your head to the left a lot while your singing. Not a criticism or anything negative, just something I noticed that I thought was kind of interesting.

The audio is prerecorded, mixed, and made nice, then the artist lip syncs on camera. It's very noticeable if you pay really close attention, and notice her clothes move between shots. Still an amazing voice and song though.

This made me cry. I just started watching/Finished Angel Beats last week. I loved the anime. I was sad when it ended. I honestly need to slow down on anime. It doesn't help me to try and finish animes as quickly as possible. Thanks for the Nostalgia.

Sadly I can't put that cover up for sale because it uses the official instrumental, and I can't license it. That's the reason I'm going back and re-doing older covers (My Dearest, Magia, etc) I might re-do that one in the future, but currently working on like 30 songs (sweats)

With the Never Again movement going on in the States about protecting kids from gun violence, this song sounds like a message or tribute to those young lives cut short. It helps that this comes from an anime about teens in purgatory trying to make peace with their lives and deaths. My community was shaken up by gun violence just days ago. I live only minutes away from Great Mills, Maryland and I've played this song on repeat (bought the album on itunes) since what happened at the high school.

Okay, so.... I started rereading The School For Good and Evil recently, and I was listening to this (The original version) and I thought, 'You know, this would be a great song for an animation of this story.', And then I realized, yeah, it really would. I decided to listen to it in English, and.... Yeah, it makes sense. The start really matches Agatha. And then later on, when it gets to, "You took me by the hand..." Was when she began to realize that she was falling in love with Tedros. And then as it goes farther onto the song, it could be Sophie and Agatha's battle, and then at "I wish them farewell." When Agatha kisses Sophie back to life and they begin to dissolve and go back to Gavaldon.

i freaking loved angel beats and cried so hard i did like charlotte too i also caught two of the more obscure angel beats references. i forgot what one of them was but another was a poster behind one of the main characters that showed a picture of TK and matsushita acting excited and happy frmo the one OVA where they tried to trick kanade into thinking they were super happy and ready to move on. it was some sort of advertisement for a drink in charlotte though and then i saw the pretty obviou one where yu was watching angel beats i assume everyone saw that i go to sleep though listening to ichaban no takaramono every night even though i cry every time it is something i always do XD especially since one of my best friends who watched the show with me (my second time seeing it) passed away from illnbess last summer almost exactly a year ago now...
