Hi Joe, paying for players in installments does not affect amortisation of those contracts. It just preserves cash flow... self proclaimed finance expert here.

I'm not an accountant so feel free to correct me but we are paying 17m ( transfer fee) +24m (wages) = 41m for a player who has played 45 mins and thats in one year ie not amortised over his 5 year contract as Leipzig and Augostin never got a penny before the previous years account years . If we go up add another ? 20m ( not sure what the figure is) in bonus payments to Bamford etc so that's 61m straight onto the 23/24 accounts . The solution may be to sell Summerville and Gnonto for 61m and if we don't go up to sell them for 41m

I wouldn’t be surprised if our contracts are so bad that we will owe bonuses to Koch, Llorente, Aaronsen, Rasmus and Roca if we get promoted this year

Seems as though allot is being made of the £190m owed, if Leeds are not promoted it would likely mean along with £20m for sinestra 2 or 3 key players would have to be sold.

Our losses are £35m or around that.. but excuse my ignorance but didn't Everton get sanctioned for around £20m losses 🤔

Everton were sanctioned for losses over the allowances in place. Over three years they lost over 125m, with a limit of 105m losses allowable.

The JKA thing will already be accounted for via way of accruals last year (or maybe even the year before, I can't remember when the original ruling was made) It was absolute insanity to try and pull a fast one with JKA. When we went down the appeals route, I felt the KC's involved must have felt there was a strong argument to appeal. I guess this was wrong and all those bloody legal fees will have piled up and must be taken to the bottom line as part of PSR/FFP

You could be right but my understanding was that the previous accounts just included the amount owed to RB whereas the issue today was the wages due to JKA if I understand correctly. The biggest shambles of a transfer certainly in our history if not football history. Good old Radz and Orta and Kinnear.

@@Hellokitten625they definitely would've provided something for JKA in last year's books. Since they knew they had to pay. Whether it was the full contract's worth of wages or not we can't say. If they didn't, knowing they would have to pay at least some of it out (depending on the appeal) this would be contrary to accounting standards.

I don't get this narrative that cre and others will leave in the summer it may well be true but i think they stayed to do a job and prove themselves and will give us next season too. Why would the 49ers let them go if they don't have better replacements its not like they need the money as there are plenty of bailers to cash in on. imagine this team with even more additions in the Champ next season!

That’s what I was thinking but,it was an obligation to buy which we didn’t and we are disputing it in court which is in favour of JKA and Leipzig That’s what it boils down to 😡
