I think the Generation change since Didi died will change more things in the Future, his son and all other know that it is not important anymore to change evrything to Red Bull, it is enough to have the Logo on the Shirt and the Energy drinks in the Press videos, they had enough time to learn from the past and know that they dont need to Change evrything complete

Potential sponsors is different from ownership. Very speculative to think a sponsorship deal will be anything more than a name on a shirt. With the new tv deals and the amount Leeds get viewing time then it’s actually indicative that large corporations would be more likely to see this as a positive move.

Some would argue dumping the Leeds colours for Real Madrid white kit has been an albatross . Leeds used to play in Red as away kit many years ago. Blue and old Gold are Leeds colours.

The value is massive for a championship club but much less than the 2 Manchester teams that get £50-60 million a year for shirt sponsorship. I don’t think they are paying for any influence in the club, however, they do have a lot of marketing and sporting clout that the owners can tap into.

Morning pal, fingers crossed. Despite not winning on Sunday this is a far more exciting time than it was this time last year thanks. Speaking of F1 links imagine if it was actually the Benetton clothing chain (from when they owned the Enstone based team), maybe they would make our kits for us, would produce lots of other club clothing merchandise (just as long as we didn't have to get involved with Flavio Briatore,).

Sounds interesting and I hope it's true. The club needs a big investment. Red bull has been interested in a partnership with Leeds for a long time. I trust the 49ers. I just want weekly wins and promotion next season. So we need good investment .

This is how football is going. We fit the brand they invest in. Personally i think they will slowly pick up shares of Leeds until they are majority owners. Top six in prem will be what they will want. And they usually get. But it will come at a price !

I do agree with your point about keeping the gambling companies out of sport. However hasn't this brand been proven to have some very serious health concerns across all age groups. The north already has one of if not the worst dietary concerns in the world bar the USA. Just saying !

Red Bull Stadium! or maybe the Fairy Washing-Up Liquid Stadium. It would be a tough choice for some. RB got Leipzig from the 4th to the 1st in four seasons. What's not to like and as for no red anywhere, I remember us playing a game in dark red(against Palace?) We looked brill!

Palace colours are red and blue, so I doubt it was against them. To my knowledge, Leeds haven't played in red since the 1960s.

I remember that. sometime in the early 70's away at palace, whose home kit then was mainly white with the diagonal red/blue stripe. I think Lorimer hit a beauty. Went in off bar then post!

Red bull bought out Jaguar not Jordan, Jordan was bought by Spyker which the team is now Aston Martin. If Red bull are going to be a sponsor Oliver mintzlaff is power mad he's going to want to be on the Elland Road board. He's so power mad that's why Red bull Milton Keynes are fighting with Salzburg with Mintzlaff trying to force out Christian Horner . Mintzlaff is wanting control of the F1 team as well as all the others under Red bull.

It's not going to be long term the 49ers are going to flip the club when they have extended the ground. This is a cash investment is for promotion and FFP. Auto promotion is vital.

Heard rumours yesterday. Very interesting and sounds like a good thing. Agreed it will not entail ownership .. 49ers are in it for the long term and RB approach is to buy cheap and invest hugely . RB Leipzig were a 5th division club when purchased (like buying AFC Fylde!). This will be shirt sponsorship and cross marketing. And marketing is something that they excel at given they persuade millions to buy the over sweet caffeine piss they call an energy drink. We are an ideal target as we have a more global fanbase than many premier clubs. There needs to be red lines. No red on the shirts, no stadium branding etc. Also, if "Red Bull gives you wi-ings"will they provide instant freeby replacements for Somerville and Gnonto??!!

It starts as a sponsor and slowly moves to the RB folk picking up % of ownership untill they get the controlling stakes. Then its unofficially RB Leeds. Be very carefull of what you wish for. Yes the links are good but the RB heads don't care one iota about the common fan. They will bulldoze their way through with whatever plans they have.

Many grounds are called something else these days. I've always found it odd as our ground is called elland road. But the ground itself is on or just off elland road. So it hasn't really got a name. Maybe it was known as the old peacock ground eons ago. But if its re-named the red bull arena that is on elland road then I'm not bothered.

Typical Leeds selling their soul for money,yet again a club manoeuvring to gain unfair advantages in the EFL comparing to other teams in league what cannot match Leeds financially. I’m not just blaming Leeds there are other clubs in league willing to do same to get to premiership. The integrity of the league has got to be looked at and big sponsorship deals like this what come in have got to scrutinised because to me it’s giving an unfair advantage financially to the club they want to invest in not just that they may change name of ground or name of team ie rb Leeds,sponsors like this need barring because years of history will be lost

@@joeblackburn42 it is look of the likes of Plymouth,millwall etc how can they ever compete financially with a team like Leeds etc,with this happening it’s just stretching the gap between teams in league,it’s defo happening in prem now and now it’s filtering into championship where smaller teams cannot compete financially with larger ones,this is my point,money is changing our game massively and it’s only going to get worse if deals like this happen,the integrity of football in the top 2 divisions need to be questioned as a fan I’m not liking it,I love the championship as any team can beat anyone but soon that would be over if big players and big money filter into league,it’s not just because it’s Leeds it could be any other team I would say same pal

I think most ot the EFL Teams got more money then many First Division Clubs around Europe, and they dont even play in CL,EL,ECL. So rest of Europe should say we dont want English teams or Spanish or France …. in the European Competitions because the all have so much less money then those clubs so its unfair to play against them?
