I was only pointing out that in the championship and the way Leeds have been lead to play his role wasn’t just a goal scorer. I never said Bamford will be prem material. But nearly comment that he served Leeds well in the championship as an overall team player.

a you need to remember that the point Carlo made was it’s not who scores just that we score. With Mitrovic he is the classic number nine the sole scorer of a team but Bamford isn’t Bamford is the one who gets goals for himself but creates opportunities for everyone else to score

@a I agree that Mitrović is a very good centre forward. But I don't know if he would fit in Bielsa's way to play. Now there are rumors for Jonathan David, that, by the way, doesn't seem a real centre forward but a second striker. I never see him play a game. What I saw on KZfaq that he never pass the ball. When he receives the ball this is the last pass of the team. He just strikes to goal. Not even an assist. This makes me feel uneasy.

You are insane if you think Bamford is a good finisher. Absolutely insane. Every professional footballer would score goals eventually. Scoring *at some point* doesn't make you a good finisher. He cost £10 million, you could get hundreds of players that chase balls down like him for less money and almost certainly could shoot better than him. Leeds often won in spite of him, not because of him.

I just wrote that he's a good finisher, and I confirm this opinion. Not a great finisher, but a good finisher. And I repeat, in my humble opinion, that he fits perfectly on Bielsa's schemes. Since I'm quite old, I remember very well Mick Jones playing for Leeds, and he was not an outstanding centre forward. But he was essential for the type of play Don Revie was applying to that fabulous Leed United. Then he, Allan Clarke, Billy Bremner, Eddie Gray, Peter Lorimer and, less often Johnny Giles finalized the play. I cannot forget the goal on the centenary FA Cup when Jones, acting as a tough right winger, crossed the ball for Allan Clarke. In short words, Leeds now plays with 10 players and the goalkeeper. With a Mitrović, or someone like him, we would play with nine players. This concerns me. This is for a team that has not an idea to apply on the pitch. And, again in my humble opinion, the major problems Leeds has now are the following: first, how to keep Ben White and Jack Harrison; second, the marvelous Pablo Hernandez is going to be 37. And I really don't know how to find players that can substitute them with the same confidence and knowledge of Bielsa's schemes. Finally, If you want to call me insane, you are free to write it, no problem for me. I don't know you, and for me would be inappropriate to call you in any other way than with your name, James.
