A full strip of a brand new Yamaha R6 and then we build it into our current spec for the 2022 isle of man TT races, full breakdown of all parts used including electronics and what's needed to get the bike running. thanks as always to all the team and sponsors for making videos like this possible.

Lee, on your Go Pro set the frequency to 50hz and it won't filcker no more with lights. It's because our British electric grid frequency is different to the GoPro standard of 60hz 👍 Great video, love the bike.

modern bikes are so good you dont really need much just race pads high temp braking fluid race body works and ergo mods like clip on rear sets and the right setup on the suspenion for your weight and if your really flush exhuast filter tuned and you have yourself a superstock class race bike.

As someone who has no clue about racing bikes - I love to watch but have not desire to ride one even just to go to the shops. Did you take the stock parts off the R6 and soup them up or did you replace the stock parts with race spec parts? Can you not just buy a chassis and build around it?

great film Lee , excuse my ignorance, but why don't the manufacturer's just sell a frame and engine kit to race teams . Would it not be cheaper for the teams, or does it have to be registered as a road bike ? cheers sean

They need to sell units especially 600’s as they are not too bigger sellers just now.Yamaha are good as they also have a YEC catalog where if available you can buy a complete engine brand new and wheels with bearings and disks all ready fitted and kits full of head gaskets covers pipes.These are slightly cheaper than std but if you crash and do in a frame and a set of forks and say the clutch cover is smashed and full of gravel its just cheaper to buy a new bike for cost from your friendly yamaha dealer (Raceways) then you get a spare subframe more wheels and disks,forks yolks.Just makes more sense especially if your running some talentless kid who crashes all the time.Luckily Lee is a top drawer rider although a little ugly, and he does smell of greasy soda bread sometimes but no harm in the boy so there isnt!x.

Interesting, i would think team just send you a frame and parts in boxes instead of stripping down a complete stock bike......stock parts that don't get used go back to factory I am guessing......alot of work stripping a street bike
