We drive as an intercity from Leeuwarden to Meppel. Then we drive on as an empty train to Zwolle. After leaving Meppel, something happened outside that NS does not allow me to show. Furthermore, we arrive on track 9 in Zwolle with very poor visibility due to the low sun. Oh yes, that is now a track with a buffer stop halfway. You have to think about that in time.. Enjoy!
We rijden als intercity van Leeuwarden naar Meppel. Daarna rijden we als leegmat verder naar Zwolle. Na vertrek uit Meppel, gebeurt er iets buiten de trein wat ik van de NS niet mag laten zien. Verder komen we in Zwolle met zeer slecht zicht vanwege de laagstaande zon binnen op spoor 9. Oja, dat is tegenwoordig een kopspoor. Je moet er maar op tijd aan denken.. Veel kijkplezier!

Just love the action at around 10m:30s ( just outside Akkrum), where you shut off power and pass over that bridge. The overhead wire stops and you coast through a gap !!. The wires continue on the other side and once your trains clear you resume power. Totally amazing stuff.

We zullen nooit weten wat er precies na Meppel aan de hand was. En inderdaad is het handig in Zwolle om te weten dat je op een kopspoor eindigt met die ondergaande zon recht in je snufferd. In ieder geval was het weer een lekker ritje om mee te rijden, het was al een tijdje dat ik het traject van Leeuwarden naar Meppel had gezien. Heel erg bedankt voor de video!

Another great video from your collection, thanks. I was not sure if I did this one before? Perhaps in the opposite direction? Noticing lots more Wind Generators. Someone told me about the 100,000's Euros people get for allowing the "mills" on their property. Looks like Wind Generator mills in the Northern Hemisphere versus Solar panels on homes in the Southern Hemisphere. We are looking into that. Did I notice possible additional lines behind developed closer to the end of this video? Thanks again.

OK, If the support post are 50 meters apart, my stopwatch says speed gets to the low 70s?

The posts seem to vary their spacing with location. I've scaled them off on Google Earth at 50 meters to 70 meters. When passengers are aboard the goal is to get them them to their destination precisely on time rather than as fast as possible. So usually the drivers seem to boost to a maximum speed and maybe maintain it for awhile before they coast most of the rest of the way. Without passengers the trains seem to run slow with low priority. They have to stay far enough behind the train in front. They have that information in the cab. So they run at lower speeds just to keep from rushing up to a yellow or red signal. {^_^}

Why is it called ICM? It seems to stop at every rural station along the way.

That is because it is the name of the train type not the service. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NS_Intercity_Materieel

@@remcoswenker667 Thanks, but why does NS put an Intercity stock train on an all station service, I guess a shortage of sprinter stock trains?

@@appelscha23 Of that I am not sure but that seems legit I only ride these trains not drive them. Also current times makes everything weird for the railroads. I can also imagine keeping the variety of trains on a section down helps with driver training/availability.

een mooie video weer, maar zou ik je mogen vragen om voortaan in 60fps te kunnen filmen? dit brengt minder hapering in het beeld met zich mee en het bevorderd de kijkervaring aanzienlijk.

Mee eens. Maar YT heeft voor 4K60fps een te lage bitrate voor video met zoveel beweging als in mijn films, het ziet er niet uit. Bovendien krijg ik dan klachten van kijkers met een tragere verbinding.

@@CabviewHolland oke ja, want het ding is nu dat ik juist nu frame drops ervaar tijdens het kijken. om de zoveel tijd gebeurd dat. vooral bij het weg rijden van een station. staat er misschien een instelling verkeerd in jou edit programma? en ik heb een glasvezel verbinding van 1gbit per seconde dus daar ligt het niet aan.

@@donmul630 Nee hoor, framerate blijft zoals het origineel 29,97 fps fixed. KZfaq hapert altijd een beetje. Sterker nog, op dit moment speelt geen enkele video af :-(.. Speel jij het wel af op een apparaat die 29,97 kan afspelen?

@@CabviewHolland jazeker, heb een amd ryzen 3700x en een nvidia RTX 2060 super videokaart. en 64gb ram. dus kwa onderdelen en internet snelheid zit het allemaal goed

Het is niet zo spectaculair en het gebeurt dagelijks. Prorail waarschuwt ervoor met bordjes op het eind van het perron, zoals bij Putten richting Ermelo. En als ik er met mijn trein vertraging mee oploop roep ik het in de trein ook gewoon om.
