Lefkada is definitely the most beautiful Greek Island that you can drive to with your car, it is only separated from the mainland by a small bridge, but the scenery on the island is totally different and magical. It has many paradise beaches with turquoise waters and cliffs surrounding the fine sand beaches giving them a mystical and unique look. We have never in our lives seen so beautiful water and Lefkada won our hearts from the moment we arrived.
In the video, we will be exploring the island just a few days before the tourist season starts and we have the opportunity to visit well-known beaches like Porto Katsiki and Milos in absolute solitude.
Greece is the land of many wonders and stunning diversity. We have been living here in a van Freyja for three months now and it has become clear to us that Greece should definitely be on the Travel bucket list of absolutely Everyone!

We are a van life couple Jo and Miina, quite new to KZfaq but really excited to be a part of this community. We are about living small and sustainable in our home on wheels. Haha.......great!! I got married on Lefkada in the tiny church of Agios Nikitas, near to Milos beach!! Fantastic.......while we were getting married in the tiny church we could hear the crashing of the waves and smell the wonderful sea spray.......the whole village came out with rice and greetings. I collect sea salt that accumulates on some of the beach boulders and use it for my best fish and steaks when I return to the USA. Hey, if you guys are nearby, Parga is also a beautiful town with beaches and scenery, along with Sivota.......one of my favorite beaches on the way to Sivota/Parga is called Alonaki and is surrounded by pine forest. Best continuation of your journey and saga through Greece!!

Those are such awesome memories for you from lefkada. We sadly didn't see the church close by but the last sunset frame we from the other side of that beach. Ohh but we are already on the eastern side of Greece now near Thessaloniki.

@@WildVikingTravels .......excellent........if you plan on exploring the three-fingered Halkidiki region, there are many great beaches to consider: on the 2nd finger, called Sithonia, there is: Kavourotripes beach, Portokali beach, Mega Portokali (tiny cove), the Vourvourou area beaches, Lagonissi beach; on 1st finger Paliouri and Afitos are beautiful beaches. The mountain village Arnaia is a beautiful traditional village with the architecture of the region. Holomontas mountain is a beautiful region with dense forest and many hiking trails. If you head further northeast, towards Xanthi, you may consider the Livaditis waterfall, the highest in the Balkans, and it may be worth to take the short ferry to Thasos island (Paradise Beach, Golden Beach, Saliara marble beach, etc, mountain hikes). Hey man! The place is definitely worth a visit and the water Unreal! But I'll do my best to keep her off the edge 😂, I don't get along too well with heights, I tend to keep away from the edge 😁. How is it in your part of the continent, spring arrived and weather nice?

When i see this video, and having seen all your other videos of Greece, i just always have the feeling of saying to myself, see! Greece is a paradise. And I have the same slogan of these beaches: 50 shades of blue! It truly is

Hahh, Anthonie. Miina worked hard on the tips you sent us and build an itinerary as diverse as possible. Like you said from mountains to sea and like this a few times. 😁 So there is definitely more of both to come! And when it comes to the color of the sea, it is just unbelievable. I don't color grade the footage from gopro and even looking back on the videos myself now it seems unreal... Greece is bloody amazing!

When i see how you experience all this and how incredibly happy you both come across, having fun for so many weeks, for me it only makes me super happy. And I had to chuckle. It indeed doesnt need any grading and it still is maximum blue! I cant wait for the next videos. Im sure your going towards the direction of Tzoumera/Epirus/Tymfi/Vikos/Pindus national park/maybe Acheloos etc in the next or video after the next one. So i am and we all are super excited for what's to come!

🇬🇷👌Lefkada was absolutely amazing experience. Hahh, Yea sometimes we get a little crazy in us and then we just have to walk on the edge or climb some broken stairs, but we tend to be as careful as possible while doing it 😁

For sure! After a bit of research (a call from my mom 😂). I found out that the color is caused by limestone. the waves wash it into the water from the cliffs surrounding the island

Glad you liked my favourite island in Greece guys! I come from a place in the mainland just opposite to Lefkada and this is the place I used to spend my summer holidays before the corona. It's also weird to see you having all those beaches to yourselves, they are almost always crowded during the summer. If you find yourselves in Lefkada again, make sure you drop by the village of Egklouvi and buy the unique variety of lentils they grow there using the same method for centuries. Only place in the world you can get it and it tastes amazing if you enjoy legumes. Cheers from a Greek guy living in the north of Europe!

Lefkada is a gorgeous Greek island sitting in the Ionian Sea. It's one of the few Greek islands that's fully accessible by car, connected to the mainland by a little bridge. Famed for its stunning, soft-sand beaches and rich, blue waters, Lefkada is also home to interesting museums and traditional villages.

Thanks, Aya! Lefkada was amazing and I really enjoyed flying the drone there. We had no problems sleeping in a van there. Police over there is quite chill. Just don't sleep next to a camp site. They sometimes have deals with the police to send people their way 🤣

Hi! I have the same thoughts... I visit the island, about 2,3 weeks ago. The colors its ireal... its like a oil painting done by picasso... for me, this is the best area of Greece! BTW! Cheers from Romania! PS: Come see Romania! it`s beautiful ! If you need some recomandation of what to visit, do not hesitate to ask me!

@@WildVikingTravels Transfăgărășan, transalpina, transbucegi, lac bolboci, castel Peleș, Brașov, Sighișoara, Sibiu, delta Dunării, Maramureș. But this is only 10,15% from what you have to visit :) you have to stay at lest 3,4 weeks to be able to visit some places. And food... You will fall in love... We have the best food all over the world... You will see 😍

By car. Lefkada is the only island in the Ionian that can be reached by car/bus/any transport vehicle. There are many routes to go to from Athens, many mountain routes, many coastal routes, and many secret routes. All breathtaking and different

Uurisime nüüd tagantjärele seda asja ja tuleb välja, et vesi saab värvi lubjakivist. Lained hõõruvad seda kaljudel lahti ja see värvib vee heledaks. Ja kui on tormise päev siis erinevad veed segunevad rohkem ja seda heledat joont põhimõtteliselt pole.
