@@sarahfortune7760 and the parish’s menu theme is also almost as sad as this, both theme’s really give you the feeling that we are doomed, even in l4d2, where it doesn’t put everything into the atmospheric horror, you know that it’s all hopeless, and that you never truly are safe, no matter where you are, whether it be in the Forest or Swamp, you never are safe, and the stakes only heighten in l4d2, with the introduction of the new special infected and the older special infected rapidly changing their appearance and abilities, all the more things to rip you apart.

The song iterates the feeling of loss, despair, fear, and darkness. It almost feels as if the world has lost it's hope and God has forsaken everybody and people still struggling to survive but they know what's coming for them anyway. Now try to think you're in that world.

This comment describes perfectly what I felt at the age of 16->17, I was studying electronics at school and in my past I was debating almost anything and I hit this deep spot of how the world is and for a brief moment it felt like the whole world had gone darker and darker, I felt it since it felt hopeless and completely worse everytime I heard of any event or news from any country. It was a... Potent experience, one which I'd love to experience again, to some extent. For a week on thinking about that I was ignoring my hunger massively and I barelly even noticed it, now days, I can even struggle to realize that I should eat something

The menu theme for Left 4 Dead 1 really makes it seem like there is no one left. If I was the last man on earth, i’d be in disbelief, and probably cry a little. This shit would be scary as fuck if it were real. Valve did a good job on capturing the atmosphere of a zombie apocalypse.

I Came to edit my comment because I have no clue what shit I was smoking let me rephrase what I said before Basically I like this version of the main menu theme more then the one we had in Left 4 dead 2 and I understand that the second game is more light hearted but this theme should have stayed but maybe with a tiny bit of Western tang added on but sadly that isn't what we got and don't get me wrong the main menu theme for the second game is fine just not as memorable as this one but that is my opinion I am sure there is people that like the L4D2 menu theme but I do not that is how the World work's we are all different and that is a beautiful thing
