We've just lost our father earlier this year. Now everything has little meaning to me. Why? Because he wasn't just my father, but also my mentor and best friend. Everything I do now is just not the same, because he's not here for me to share it with him. I live each day as if I'm on autopilot, just going through the motions. Grief won't kill you immediately, but will sap from you the will to keep living. Now that I've sought help, life doesn't seem so bleak, and I'm actually learning to enjoy things again without feeling depressed or guilty. I can enjoy the things we used to do together, only now I'm enjoying these things for both of us since he's gone, but I know he's still here with me. If your grief is overwhelming after your loss, get some help. You don't need to endure this alone. Because your loved one would want you to continue living with joy and happiness, not grief and despair. So reach out for help, and don't reject the help other friends and loved one offer you. That is what your loved one would want for you, and that is to live for both of you since they cannot.

Hi dear Patrick, I was sending this message, for a friend. And I had curious, to read your story. My English is not perfect, but, my heart is. So, I wanted to wishing for you, that continues fighting dear Patrick. Reminds as you said, the good things that you learned and shared with him. And, as your mentor, no doubt that he wish that you continues fighting, as a true warrior. Please, stop talk about guilty, remove these bad thoughts, from your mind forever and ever... Just the time, will give more acceptance, more strongly. And, just to finish, reminds that he continues with you, in spirit, cheering for your best. Please, don't give up, react, soon, your depression, will be done. Your dear father's mission, finished here. But, yours, not. The life don't stop! So, please, ask help in many ways, but, never give up,ok! Lots blessings, be stronger, and remember, that he wish you happy, removing the rocks from your way, and following ahead, always. Accept my condolences, and hugs, doesn't matter, who you are. Take care! Blessings! FATHER GOD, ITS WITH YOU, BELIEVE! 💜💜💜🌟🌟🌟🌟 🇧🇷🇦🇺

Many of us out here have faced the same it is regrettable to have to admit. All I can say is to express yourself as you need to, be who you feel you need to.

snaggletooth bastard Indeed. Its been close to 2 years since my father passed. Sometimes it feels like it only happened yesterday, other days like a lifetime ago.... I suppose that It’s such a deep loss; a massive change to our life. When you consider that we knew them quite literally our entire life right up to the point that they passed; it’s something that reshapes everything.

I lost my grandmother years ago, she had raised me, to this day I still wake up early on Christmas, and my birthday and othrr holidays waiting for a phone call to come that never will, I truly am scared to lose my mother. My father spent my whole life in the army, I had never seen that man flinch, cry, or anything until the night the phone call came in and his mother had passed, it went from this soldier always picking me up, to me carrying this soldier as he broke. Time doesn't make things easier. You learn to move on, and live without, but a part of you is always gone.

Losing a parent is the worst pain ever. I'd go crazy. I cant even live on without them. They are important to me;( I love you mom and dad❤
@WestleyNash
@WestleyNash 3 жыл бұрын
❤️ I certainly feel your worlds.. Losing a parent is a very “altering” experience. Our entire perception of life and even ourselves is changed forever by it. For we have known them quite literally our entire lives up until that moment they passed away. So we then have to learn how to feel safe and stable again in a world we have never once known without them in it... Though I do believe that any loving parent, no matter where they are only ever wants their children to survive and prosper. I also believe that we take them with us, spiritually in our hearts through the feelings of love we still hold for them, mentally in our minds through the memories of past happiness and in the lessons they taught us, but also physically in our bodies through genes and hereditary traits that continue to shape us through our ongoing adulthood. My mum told me after my Dad passed that it’s okay to cry for his loss, that he’s worth every single tear. So it’s okay to feel sad, to feel lost. It’s okay to be afraid of what life looks like without them in it. It’s okay to doubt and the question our ability to survive beyond them, just so long as among all of that pain we remember to cherish the good times, the best times. That we keep in our hearts the love we have for our parents and honour the love we know they had for us. We know they want only the best for us and so in that regard they are never really gone. Simply taking a backseat to let us lead the way ❤️ My very best wishes to you and all of those you love 🎩

This poem touched my heart as it describes how I feel every day. My 25 year old son was murdered in his home this past June, by a supposed friend. You might as well had killed me too for he took a large piece of my heart, we were very close. I’ve lost both parents and although it was hard, it doesn’t compare to losing my best friend, my child.

"When a loved one passes it can feel like you are all alone so be sure to spend time with family or friends when you can, they will help you through it." Unfortunately this is not always the case. My brother just wants me to move on. My father can't handle my grief and hasn't talked to me since my wife passed. My mother died after a long illness years ago. Friends...well, they just want to have fun. If you know someone who has lost it all, try not to let them do it alone. God bless.

☹️That’s so touching and I know how it feels to be lonely without our love ones, we've all loss our love ones in death one way or the other, either a spouse, child, family members, or a true friend that meant the world to us, such is life I truly understand how you feel cos I’ve felt same unbearable experiences before but death is just inevitable no matter how hard we try! And we'll all have to face it someday, and every of our love ones we’ve loss will always want to see us happy again wherever they’re. I loss my oldest daughter Annabel February 24th 2020 in a crucial car accident, and she just turned 22 on her last birthday before she got knocked down by a moving vehicle 🚗 and so unlucky for me that horrible day the driver was drunk. That was the worst and most lamenting day of my whole life as a single Dad raising two kid's, my 17 years old son Clark and my 4 legged 🐶 families are my everything and the reason I still keep strong, and keep going! My late wife passed away three years ago from a shocking disease, I felt devastated with grief, and I was so heartbroken 💔 but God and time are indeed the best healers. Hope you’ve found peace, comfort and happiness again? I'd love to talk to you more if you don't mind! So it would be nice to get a reply from you when you got time okay. 🌹🌹

Oh, my heart aches for you Debby! That is so tragic! Please know that Jesus loves you more than you can possibly know. I am sharing my best friend's testimony with the world with the prayer that many will come to find comfort and true peace during their grief. God bless you. Precious Memories-By Sonya Lakey Family Story Little did our family of six know that Friday evening, September 24th, 2021, would be the last night our family would be complete. We laughed together, played games, sang, and enjoyed listening as our 16-year-old son, Ethan, played the piano for us. I packed a lunch for Ethan for a church mountain hike he was going on the following day. My mother (who was visiting from out of state) and I woke early with Ethan on Saturday morning. He hugged me and smiled, never pulling away or rushing me. He got in the car, waved, said he'd see me later and he loved me. It was hard to watch my "new driver" heading out on his own that morning. As Ethan pulled out of the gate, I turned to my mother and said, "It's just so hard letting go." Little did I know how much "letting go" I was really doing. That was the last time I saw Ethan. He did not make it home that evening. That afternoon, a friend tried to contact my husband, leaving an urgent message to call him back. He tried several times to return the call to no avail. As we were preparing supper, an overwhelming feeling of deep concern for Ethan filled my heart. I quietly blinked back tears. I glanced out the window, half expecting to see a police officer pull up to the house, but no one arrived. However, within a few minutes, a patrol car DID pull into the driveway. In my heart, I feared the worst. My husband and I went out to meet the officer, who confirmed our fears. Hesitantly, he told us our son had fallen off of a bluff and had succumbed to his injuries. Our hearts were crushed; they still are. Yet, in all of our brokenness, deep, continual grief and loneliness, our family has such a blessed Hope and assurance that we will see our dear son and brother again. You see, when Ethan was a young boy, he was saved; he put his faith in Jesus alone to forgive his sins and to take him to Heaven when he died. He realized some very important truths from the Bible that he would want to share with you. His Story Everyone is a sinner. Sin is any violation of God’s Law. God is holy, just and righteous, and He cannot allow sin in His presence. Ethan realized that he - like all of us - had sinned; and his sin separated Him from God. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ” (Romans 3:23) “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (Romans 5:12) He understood that, because of his sin, he deserved to spend eternity in Hell. “For the wages of sin is death;” (Romans 6:23a) [Wages: price] “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8) Ethan believed that Jesus, God’s Son, paid the price for all sin when He died on the cross - because His sinless sacrifice was the only thing that could satisfy the just demands of a righteous, holy God. Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb, but He arose the third day, triumphant over sin, death, and Hell. Jesus is alive today! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) Ethan was sorry for his sin, repented (turned), and received by faith the free gift that God offered to him. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b) Because of this great salvation, Ethan lived his life serving Jesus. He worked hard to spread this Good News to the world. He is alive in Heaven with Jesus today; and because of this great HOPE in Christ, we know we will see him again soon - not because he was a great kid, but because of his faith in the great Saviour! “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” (John 10:28) Your Story What about you? What if you had fallen to your death that day - What if you were to die today? Where will you spend eternity - Heaven or the Lake of Fire? There will not be any parties in the Lake of Fire. It is a place of eternal torment for those who reject God's Son. The Word of God is very clear that there is only One Way to Heaven. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) We did not know that Ethan would step into eternity that day; however, because he put his faith in Jesus alone for his salvation, Ethan was ready to go. Some day - perhaps today - you will take your last breath here on earth, and you will step into eternity. Where you spend eternity is determined by what you do with Jesus Christ. Will you accept Him or reject Him? You are not promised another day or another breath. Eternity begins soon - Are you ready? “...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…” (Acts 16:31b) “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “(...behold, now is the day of salvation.)” (2 Corinthians 6:2c) ****************************** This testimony has been made into a gospel tract. If you or your Church would be interested in passing them out or if you would like to send a word of encouragement to the family, please go to: facebook.com/GITM-Foundation-113997824650357/

Well this hit me right in the heart. I lost my mom in July 2020. I don't think a poem has ever made me feel this way before. It's like having my thoughts spoken out loud. It's comforting, in a sad way, to know others feel the same..

I am so sorry for you loss, to lose a parent is extremely life altering. I wrote this a few days after losing a close loved one, I suppose trying to make sense of my feelings. When my dad passed in 2016 I decided to record this poem in his honour.... Again I am so very sorry to hear about your Mom, I’m sending my very best wishes to you and those you hold dear

I am sharing my best friend's testimony with the world with the prayer that many will come to find comfort and true peace during their grief. God bless.

This one hits a little too close to home. I know my big bro didn’t mean to, but he passed last year on Nov. 8th. We were always together. Played video games together, went on nature trips together, and even worked together for 5 years. I watched him pass. It’s not his fault at all, but I truly feel I’ve been left behind. I’ll stay strong for my big bro, and make him proud, just like he’d always want/expect of me. We’ll see each again someday mas.

I am so sorry to hear about your Husband, Ann. I offer my most sincere condolences... Time does seem to be all but meaningless after suffering such a deep loss. Days and years appear interchangeable in many ways... Over the years I’ve come to believe that people only tell us it’s gets easier because they try to give us hope in a moment of despair.. I know they mean well, but reality is that it doesn’t actually get easier, and so I would say to anyone, not to expect it to. Sending my very best wishes to you Ann, stay safe

Thank you so very much for your kind words and for your beautiful poem. I know people mean to offer comfort and I’m blessed to have many continue to lend comfort and support including a gift of love my husband left for me before he passed. Some days are full of despair while others I can still see a ray of hope with the help of grief counseling and his gift. His gift - an email with a song attached - “If the sun come up” by Trace Atkins. I don’t know if you’re familiar with it but it talks about how much he cared about me and to go on living and when the sun comes up to let it shine and never lose your smile. And that song like your poem gives me hope that just maybe they’ll be a tomorrow I can look forward to. Thank you and God bless you. 🙏❤️

I am trying to share my best friend's story with the world in hopes that others will come to find true peace and comfort in their times of grief. I am so sorry for your loss. Wow thank you for this. I finally felt some long held in tears. Both of my close friends and ex girlfriends stopped talking to me and my closest friend moved to Florida at the same time.my parents moved four hours away to northern Michigan. I've had so much struggle but the only way to overcome brief is to sail your ship right through it and feel it fully. God Bless you Mr. Poet!

Hi Nick, I am so sorry to hear about your situation. That must be very hard, having all that happening so close together. It’s good to let yourself feel those emotions, even if the process can feel quite overwhelming at the time. It’s the best way to get through... I agree, we do indeed move forward one step at a time... Thank you so much for the kind words. Wishing you the very best Nick 😊

@@resianemaculate. I am trying to share my best friend's story with the world in hopes that others will come to find true peace and comfort in their times of grief. I am so sorry for your loss. Know exactly how this feels. I have now lost everyone, darling husband, best friends and the cousin who helped me at the time I lost my husband. I will always miss her as we had a lot in common and her voice on the phone was so upligting. In my eighties I know there is no help. As this poem says you try your best not to depress other people but you feel you have betrayed your lost one pretending that your life is worth living.

Very beautiful poem! 😍💓 I felt this way when my true love rejected me and left me in a cold silence, a silence that was killing me slowly... It was as if I loved a ghost...at that time I thought that life had lost all interest for me and I wanted to die...The suffering I went through was worse than the one I had when my mum and my brother died. I was saved by my guides, angels and nature...I was meditating a lot near the river and the friendship of my kingfisher friend Martin helped me a lot. Martin was the only one who managed to give me joy. Little by little hope came back. My faith and I became stronger. Now I know my true love and I will never be separated...we will be reunited and I'm confident about the future...these last weeks, I feel all the love he's sending me...I'm always connected to him and I've always sent him my love because I know he was going through a spiritual path too...I love you Bastien💓🔥💓🔥✨🌈🌟🌞🌝🦋🐦😽 LEFT BEHIND... I'd never ever felt this way since you had to say goodbye, a feeling of loss so intense it's like I actually might die. I can't eat, I can't sleep, your face is all that I see. My chest feels so tight that sometimes I can't even breathe. For its not like you've just moved from one town to the next, where you've gone I cannot follow unless I take drastic steps. Just carrying on as normal feels like I'm saying that I don't care. But I don't know what else to do. My god this isn't fair! I'm told I need to get through this, that things get easier in time. But it's the worst feeling I've ever known, to be the one who's left behind...

Moubani Halder I am so very sorry for your loss... Its extremely hard to lose someone so close to us, it creates a feeling of such emptiness within. Crying is a good thing though, as my mother said to me after my father passed “He’s worth every single tear.” Be kind to yourself, give yourself time to grieve... I’m sending you my very best wishes

I am so sorry for your loss. Please read my best friend's story. I pray that it helps you find true comfort and peace. Westley, thank you for the comment on my spoken poem today. I did reply to you and it also inspired me to get out of my myopic mind and jump over here to listen to you read this poem. It's so beautiful and soulful, my friend. I can hear your heart in your voice. I also, as many of us probably do, relate so much to how you feel in this. What is it to walk around without this person we love who passed. Gorgeously expressed and done. I am so glad I came over here to witness. I am very moved by this. Thank you.

♡ Reasons to live ♡ 1.It's not worth the regret. Either by yourself if you failed or just simply left scars, or the regret everyone else feels by not doing enough to help you. 2.It does get better. Believe it or not it will eventually get better. 3.Sometimes you have to go through the storm to get to the rainbow. 4.There's so much you would miss out on doing. 5.There is always a reason to live. It might not be clear right now, but it is always there. 6.So many people care, and it would hurt them if you hurt yourself. 7.You ARE worth it. Don't let anyone, especially yourself, tell you otherwise. 8.You are amazing. 9.A time will come, once you've battled the toughest times of your life and are in ease once again, where you will be so glad that you decided to keep on living. You will emerge stronger from this all, and won't regret your choice to carry on with life. Because things always get better. 10.What about all the things you've always wanted to do? What about the things you've planned, but never got around to doing? You can't do them when you're dead. 11.I love you. Even if only one person loves you, that's still a reason to stay alive. 12.You won't be able to listen to music if you die. 13.Killing yourself is never worth it. 14.You'll hurt both yourself and all the people you care about. 15.There are so many people that would miss you, including me. 16.You're preventing a future generation, YOUR KIDS, from even being born. 17.How do you think your family would feel? Would it improve their lives if you died? 18.You're gorgeous, amazing, and to someone you are perfect. 19.Think about your favourite music artist, you'll never hear their voice again... 20.You'll never have the feeling of walking into a warm building on a cold day 21.Listening to incredibly loud music 22.Being alive is just really good. 23.Not being alive is really bad. 24.Finding your soulmate. 25.Red pandas 26.Going to diners at three in the morning. 27.Really soft pillows. 28.Eating pizza in New York City. 29.Proving people wrong with your success. 30. Watching the jerks that doubted you fail at life. 31.Seeing someone trip over a garbage can. 32.Being able to help other people. 33.Sitting on rooftops. 34.Seeing every single country in the world. 35.Going on roadtrips. 36.You might win the lottery someday. 37.Listening to music on a record player. 38.Going to the top of the Eiffel Tower. 39.Taking really cool pictures. 40.Literally meeting thousands of new people. 41.Hearing crazy stories. 42.Telling crazy stories. 43.Eating ice cream on a hot day. 44.More Harry Potter books could come out, you never know. 45.Travelling to another planet someday. 46.Having an underwater house. 47.Randomly running into your hero on the street. 48.Having your own room at a fancy hotel. 49.Trampolines. 50.Think about your favourite movie, you'll never watch it again. 51.Think about the feeling of laughing out loud in a public place because your best friend has just sent you an inside joke, 52.Your survival will make the world better, even if it's for just one person or 20 or 100 or more. 53.People do care. 54.Treehouses 55.Hanging out with your soul mate in a treehouse 56.Snorting when you laugh and not caring who sees 57.I don't even know you and I love you. 58.I don't even know you and I care about you. 59. Because nobody is going to be like you ever, so embrace your uniqueness! 60.You won't be here to experience the first cat world emperor. 61.WHAT ABOUT FOOD?! YOU'LL MISS CHOCOLATE AND ALL THE OTHER NOM THINGS! 62.Starbucks. 63.Hugs. 64.Stargazing. 65.You have a purpose, and it's up to you to find out what it is. 67.You've changed somebody's life. 68.Now you could change the world. 69.You will meet the person that's perfect for you. 70.No matter how much or how little, you have your life ahead of you. 71.You have the chance to save somebody's life. 72.If you end your life, you're stopping yourself from achieving great things. 73.Making snow angels. 74.Making snowmen. 75.Snowball fights. 76.Life is what you make of it. 77.Everybody has a talent. 78.Laughing until you cry. 79.Having the ability to be sad means you have the ability to be happy. 80.The world would not be the same if you didn't exist. 81.Its possible to turn frowns, upside down. 82.Be yourself, don't take anyone's shit, and never let them take you alive. 83.Heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary. Be your own hero. 84.Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections. 85.One day your smile will be real. 86.Having a really hot, relaxing bath after a stressful day. 87.Lying on grass and laughing at the clouds. 88.Getting completely smashed with your best friends. 89.Eating crazy food. 90.Staying up all night watching your favourite films with a loved one. 91.Sleeping in all day. 92.Creating something you're proud of. 93.You can look back on yourself 70 years later and being proud you didn't commit. 94.Being able to meet your Internet friends. 95.Tea / Coffee / Hot Chocolate 96.The new season of Sherlock 97.Cuddling under the stars. 98.Being stupid in public because you just can. 99.Bonfires. 100.Being able to hug that one person you havent seen in years . If you are reading this then you are alive! Is there any more reason to smile? :) People care enough about you and your future to come up with 100 reasons for you not to do this. But, the final and most important one is, just, being able to experience life. Because even if your life doesn't seem so great right now, literally anything could happen. Remember I LOVE YOU, DON'T GIVE UP! ♡

Writing and self-expression has always been my way of releasing my troubled emotions, so it kind of helped get the feelings out... It wasn’t until after uploading it and see how views it was that I came to see how many other people were, have been and have yet to experience grief of this kind.

I lost my grandmother a few years ago from heart failure and I sometimes cry when I think about her and I often dream that she is still alive and then I remember that she is not living anymore. My Mom passed last July and I still feel so alone. The man I had hoped to live the rest of my life with committed suicide just shortly after his birthday in March. That was before my Mom. It feels like a dagger is still in my heart. Suicide dosent solve the problem it just makes it worse for the ones left behind. My Mom died of cancer.

David Ben Hi David, I am so very sorry to hear about your Mum, you truly have my sincerest & deepest condolences... I dare say it probably feels a bit like time has kind of stopped still for you right now, like the world still turns but without you in it. When my father died last year that’s exactly how it felt; it’s the feeling of emptiness that I struggled with the most I think. Im not sure if you need it or not, but I suppose the best advice I can offer you is to just be kind to yourself, be patient; allow yourself to feel as you need & to grieve as you need to. Permit the feelings to present without judging yourself harshly for having them. Recovery, I have found is a path of ongoing healing; one of little by little, always moving forward.

I’m sure your mum would want you to keep going. Either way life is hard but what makes it worth it is the little things, and that’s what you should hold close to you.

Matt Kerr So sorry to hear about your troubles. Such a scenario is never an easy thing to deal with. It’s important to fight for the things we love, but also to be ready to adapt ourselves to change, even that which isn’t always preferred. I hope things work out for you 👍

To my son Trent “Trizzy”, I still cannot believe I am writing this that this is all true. Your mother, brother, sister and I miss you more and more as each day goes by. I love this poem bc it simply says how I feel. But most of all I wonder how you’re doing in heaven and pray that we will soon meet again. Love is forever. Thank you for all the signs🙏🏼💙❤️💙❤️💙🕉

@@brendadrumm9451 I am sorry. I wish I could say or do anything to help you feel better. I am very fortunate and grateful for all my children but if doesn’t help the pain losing another, only changes focus temporarily. They are hurting just as much as I. I pray one day we will all be together again, and the only way to believe that is through faith. Even blind faith… idk . I’m sorry

I am so sorry for your loss. Please read my best friend's story. I pray that you find true comfort and peace. This could not be more accurate to how I feel around this time of year... I lost two loved ones 4 years ago, and I always wish they were still here... the most crucial details of the final weekend of 2018 are the absolute worst that's happened; the most saddening thing ever seen... and now I forever roam the earth, a lost life I now lead... I shall always remember you both, dearest Mom and Stampede!
