Then content creation with news as the subject instead of actual journalism was the aimed transition. But you need drama, outrage, and BS for that to work, so w/o Trump to provide grist for the mill, they're floundering.

I watch and read a wide range for political information. I'm one of those that have switched. I had CNN on as background noise for years. I was also addicted to the drama of it all. Then I noticed my anxiety becoming excessive. Not only did I get totally rid of cable, I actively avoided CNN and all news. Then we got you tube premium and I watched Gutfeld. Then ....Gasp... I started watching Tucker and Jesse and now here I am! I've literally had people unfriend me on FB for sharing anything from Fox 🤣 The Left has gone so freaking far left that those of us who were left leaning independent are now right leaning. Also CNN outright lied about so many things . Guess I've woke Right. ❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦❤️

Cronkite was not honest. He portrayed the Vietnam War in such a way as to turn Americans against it. Don't misunderstand,, I don't think we should ever have been there and it was fought terribly. But Cronkites reporting changed the minds of the North Vietnamese, who were ready to make concessions and stop fighting, to continue the war when they heard how Cronkite was portraying the Tet Offensive.
