Yeah, I agree. Lizzie just wants as many people as possible to love her because I feel like she's afraid of being alone and Hope doesn't want to be friends with her and always kind off plays the victim part and Josie seems to want to hang out with Hope more and her dad does too. Her mom is dead and her other mom is nowhere to be seen (I love Caroline and she's probably looking for a way to safe the twins).

I do think Hope is kind of jealous of Lizzie and Josie as she has no siblings plus she always seems to want to have Alaric's attention. I could warm to Lizzie as she brings in the comedy element plus she looks like a younger version of Caroline.

I like being alone I could stay alone forever I don't really need friends so that might be hope's problem and her family is actually much worst than the people in the school so she is not at fault if she needs some time alone

To be fair in The Originals Hope was not mean to Lizzie she alienated the whole school after her dad went MIA ... And besides... The origins of their hate relationship is explained later in the series were it turns out the reason they are not friends is Josie's fault.

Lizzie has the same issues Kai had quoted "feeling like they don't matter" unwanted, unlove, ignored and different/not normal" At least she's trying her best to be good unlike him. I totally agree, Lizzie has a case of witch/hormonal teenage/daddy angst, but Josie, that girl has darkness in her. She does the right things and say the right things to please others, specially Alaric, but everything she has done thus far, doing dark magic with Hope for the sake of revenge, setting fire to someone she once loved, betraying her teammates at the game, moving in on the guy she knows her sister set her sights on, it is not an example of a good girl. Lizzie is clearly full of emotion; love for her family, especially her dad, and she's clearly in emotional pain, whether it stems from insecurities or jealousy, which is why she acts out. Kai KILLED people because he was bored or wanted power. Notice that Lizzie has no desire to harm anyone which is why she told her dad she doesn't want one of her outbursts to end in someone getting hurt. She has compassion and remorse. After she said those stupid things to Rafael and he rejected her, she felt that pain of rejection, insecure, and remorse for being insensitive towards the loss of his girlfriend. So she proceeded to break dishes and throw knifes at the wall lol. Kai had no compassion or remorse. They are NOT the same! Lizzie reminds me more of an insecure, neurotic, control freak, human Caroline Forbes lol

After the gemini ritual, whichever twin survives, they get personality traits from the twin they killed and merged with. Luke's personality was the one that showed remorse. Kai himself had NONE. I understand where you're coming from. But you fail to realize that just because Lizzie and Josie may not have lost as much as Hope, which is debatable (they lost their whole family and coven before they had the opportunity to know them, all because their uncle wanted them dead, now they're left with a dark legacy that can only be half-explained by their father, and the pain of never truly knowing where they come from, or how they'll end up. Not to mention, where's her mother, Caroline? Lizzie most likely misses out on Caroline as well, due to Caroline's duty to the school and other kids. Meanwhile, Hope has an uncle, two aunties, the crescent wolves and a "somewhat-brother" Marcel), doesn't mean that Hope is the only one who is in pain. Every single kid at that school has lost tons, some more than others. The vampires quite literally lost their LIFE at such a young age and now has to cope with life AFTER death, yet they manage to open up, make friends, or at least TRY. At some point, Hope has got to TRY. Wouldn't you be upset, if one of the few people you had left on this earth, which is your father, spends most of his time alone with a girl, who has also shut out your attempts at friendship, all because she refuses to stop her self-pity party and join in with the other kids, who has actually lost their WHOLE families or their LIVES?

Desara 13 so true, everyone has loss, including the twins. I’m not saying that their loss doesn’t count I’m just saying that they shouldn’t label Hope’s loss as invaluable and not a justifiable reason for her closed personality. If I lost my parents in around the same time after living my whole life longing for a family I would be pretty reserved, especially if my parents were Klaus and Hayley cuz I miss them so much!!! And Hope does have other people that can support her too, but maybe like the twins they aren’t always around because now everyone is living their own lives, like when you said Caroline isn’t around. Plus Hope is the only one of her kind so no one really truly understands her, not like others who have their own pack, coven, or even a sibling to stick by you. But you do bring up a good point and I understand more about Lizzie and other students now! ☺️

Vampire Fan, In that case, let me give you a scenario. Let's say that there is a child with separated parents. She only sees her mother once a month, and mostly interacts with her stepmother. Considering she does not have a lot of presence in the child's life, is she still considered the child's mother? Or maybe, let's say that there is a mother who raises her child for the first 5 years of its life. At that time, she is no longer able to take care of the child, and the child is put in foster care, but the mother still has visitations but no legal authority. Is she still the mother or not? I mean, she raised her, not for her entire life, just a small part of it, but raised her all the same. Another scenario, the mother dies, and the child is put in foster care. She is raised by a crappy foster mom who doesn't care about her at all, is the foster mom her mother? Because she raised her, by your logic that means yes even if she does a terrible job.

If they were raised together from childhood, they most likely would have seen each other as sisters. You need to learn how to use context clues. Second, plenty of people find the Rebekah/Marcel ship weird. Because she knew him as a child, not because she’s his pseudo aunt (though it plays a part as well). Third, Caroline is their mother hands down, but she was a surrogate. Jo is their biological mother. That was stated directly in the show. You need better comprehension skills. Obviously Hope/Josie is a romantic ship, you don’t need to go so hard because someone imagined what their relationship would be like if they weren’t romantic.

Vampire Fan 17 Technically Josette Laughlin ‘Parker’ is her biological mother, but Caroline gave birth to her and Lizzie, and she’s definitely got some of Caroline’s qualities since she was the mother who raised her, but the fact is that she was born a Gemini twin and she always will be.

They’re not technically witches anyway, they’re siphoners which means they have no magic of their own and can only use magic when they siphon it from another supernatural being or source of magic and I think since they were conceived as Gemini twins that couldn’t change even after they were placed inside Caroline and she’s a vampire, they were siphoning off of her before they were born.

What you said that they shouldn’t be witches I think makes sense because I’ve always wondered how the both of them could be siphoners because Gemini twins normally have one siphoner and one full-bred witch sibling so the fact that they were placed in Caroline when they were probably just barely growing must be why because they probably hadn’t grown enough when Jo was pregnant to be gifted with magic, but since the Gemini coven is the only witch bloodline that has produced siphoners, they must have needed some magical ability because they were conceived as Gemini twins.

Hope is 2 years older than the twins. She was born in 2012 and they were born in 2014. So when Hope was 7 they were 5
