Hold on I seriously thought the white oak stakes were the ones that killed them. They went through the whole trouble of burning all white oak in existence. I just finished originals and klaus had a white oak stake and Elijah broke it in half and they stabbed and killed each other... so I’m confused as to how the last one was a legacy.

They did a bait and switch with the words dagger and stake. A white oak stake did kill them, the dagger with ashes like Kaylee mentioned desiscates.

@@strangerthings4532 Why? Legacies has almost nothing to do with the very intricate folklore/canon of TVD/TO. They just borrowed the set and a few actors and made a whole new show about random monsters of the week. I wish they would have built it on the original world instead. The fact that the new vampires don't even know about desiccation and/or vervain just shows how low the stakes are now. There are no worthy antagonists. Do they even have daylight rings anymore or do they simply sparkle like Twilight now? Hope could be such a bada$$ if she just had a tenth of the power she did as a kid on TO. Back when the stakes were high and she was a formidable opponent, even for Klaus. Now she is just a sulky teen who can't manage a leprechaun on her own. I get that it is more of a kids show now, but its like they neutered all of their monsters, put shock collars on them and keep them in a bubble from the real world. Not to mention Bonnie learned more magic by accident in a year on her own, than the all the witches in a specialized magic school did their whole lives (combined).

yeah because the stake made from the white oak tree can kill them but the daggers where just dipped in the ash from the white oak tree after it burned. So doesn't have full strength to kill them.

@@naratouya This stuff is actually basic and goes on to show how little she actually knows about the world she is inhabiting in the show and how little she understands her own character's history. The more I watch Legacies, the less Danielle's version of Hope feels like what she is supposed to be, especially for the fans who have watched and loved this character for season after season on TO. Most of it has to do with the writing but some of it also has to do with Danielle's own lack of understanding and investment.

I don't usually reply to anything on KZfaq, but I would like to add to this that I, a very amateur actress, do not remember a lot of the "specifics" of things that I have been in. This girl works her booty off to portray a character that somebody won't be pleased with, no matter how she portrays her. I have been dancing longer than acting and when I dance 45 hours per week and do two shows at a time with god knows however many dances(keep in mind that not every scene that she is in is aired) I don't remember all the choreography. If you asked me to do a dance from three years ago, or even six months ago, I probably wouldn't be able to do it. Not because I am not talented, dedicated, and passionate about my art, but because I have so much floating around in my head that a little refresher is needed. The Originals was a long time ago, especially filming wise, no doubt. I have watched it four times and don't remember all that much about the ancestral plane, but maybe I just have a bad memory. I don't blame Danielle for forgetting parts of the filming. If you think about it she has the past that she has worked with, the current that she can reveal, and the future that we probably aren't allowed to know yet. Honestly, I respect the hell out of her for doing what she does. I really mean no hate with this comment, I'm just trying to shed a little perspective on the situation and the fact that I know the feeling and it isn't easy. Sending good vibes, Lindsey
