The Hunnish bow is what I use to kill zealots. Insane headshot damage when you can sneak a shot over the shield.

Needlers effect is so much more useful than bullseye. I have never got a kill with bullseyes trap perk... sleeping 5 enemys then running up and hidden blading all of them is so satisfying

I feel like the death speaker is by far the best bow in the game because it heals you, which is just so useful. Damage increases are basically non-existent, so healing effects are so valuable

I think that the needler is highly underrated because it's effect transfers to multi assassination axe throw and it can be highly effective used in that manner

If you're dealing with a group of enemies, use the Spartan Bow because you'll be dodging their attacks to increase crit chance. If you're dealing with tanky targets like bosses or Zealots, use the Viper Bow because you'll be hitting them repeatedly with your arrows to increase crit chance.

Nodens’ Arc was discovered recently after this video was made but it seems like a pretty good hunter bow and it is Isu tech

For me personally, I think the hudfolk/Hunnish bow is the best when upgraded all the way at mythical. Can’t go wrong with the original

Little tip Use bullseye for hunting. It sets the traps on the animals you kill and will blow up when another animal runs by it.

I think the fact that there is no charge time and predator bows do all their dmg instantly and the arrows curve, I think the predator bows that give you bonuses while at full hp are very good. Ive used petra’s arc for a while and think it is MUCH better than the bullseye, which in theory the ability of the bow does nothing other than putting on enemy at half.

Gotta get the Feather bow some love in here. Being able to call in artillery is the best perk and animation combo for area effect damage.

Great video but I have to disagree with you on the needler being F tier it works very well in my stealth build for taking out groups of enemies that otherwise would notice each other getting shot. Say there are two enemies standing next to each other by a campfire you usually can't eliminate one without the other one being alerted but if you use the needler you can get rid of them at the same time to either move past or kill quietly by assassinating the sleeping ones.

A predator bow that showers and area would be a great perk, like the Odyssey ability, shoot over stuff at a group.

Hunish Bow with focus of Nornir allows you to target the weak points and take out elites, legendary animals and zealots much easier. Also, use the bow stun finisher. I wish I had that earlier. It takes out a HUGE chunk on those tougher enemies. I took out a zealout that was ranked 100 over me very easily. Focus or nornir hits, keep your distance, counter-throw incoming projectiles, focus of nornir, stun finisher...done!

I had the Hunnish bow from beginning pretty much and jeah main hunter bow just feels like the perfect balance

I guess I get the issue with predator bows make sense but if you want to judge bows more easily you should also see how they work for someone who tries to stay as far away as possible.

The needler is such a good stelf bow the sleep cloud so over powerd with the sleep cloud roon more chants to get that sleep cloud it's so good!!!

Needler is the best predator bow bcos the sleep cloud lets you headshot a guard in a group and put the rest to sleep then u can assassinate the rest. Not sure why u dont think it has good use, especially when the stealth in this game is so slow the recharge on the ability wont be that noticeable if ur committed to stealthing entire camps.

The Ubisoft credits for the Spartan bow are more connected to actually playing and gaining achievements rather than a pay store. Ubi credits span across all of their games, so you can spend Ubi points in one game that you may have actually earned in another game. For instance, I was able to get some items in Valhalla right away because I had leftover “Ubi credits” that I earned in Ghost Recon, and so-on.

Sol was for the smoke bomb perk when you're overwhelmed and have a chance to smoke and snipe. It's a niche gameplay but op when used together.

Dreka Bow is for sure the best Hunter Bow, even at the lowest weight of like 50 you still are getting 9 ranged damaged buff all the time. Why? Because the range of the buff is 0-100 weight and 3-15 ranged damage.

I do love the predator bows, I love to make a Shadow Archer build.

Been using Needler for predator bow for a long while.. its OK but the AOE is too small. otherwise pretty happy that I get a free effect for just an arrow. Thanks for the info.. will check out Bullseye. Was in Hunnish and Viper (that I call my Uzi).. switched to Antler hunter recently.. seeing how it goes.

As to Hunter Bows, Noden's Arc is amazing! Great list though!

viper, spartan, arc of elan, and mark of sol effects all work for melee attacks/abilities, and funnily enough i know that the needler effect can trigger with chain assassinate, possibly bullseye too but i'm not sure. from my experience weak point specific perks only trigger with arrow shots but headshot specific perks can and do trigger with chain assassinate, crit rate perks work on all attacks, ability buff perks affect all abilities not just melee or ranged but all, therefore mark of sol effect would be useful for when you're in melee and have taken alot of damage but you're focusing on fighting up close and can't use your bow

I could see the predator bow that gives ability damage on low health could work. If you’re stealth killing from range it is the only safe time to be low health. And if you have the ability that slows time when discovered you could eat a ration as soon as your spotted and need to melee. Still super niche but not useless

Needler is S tier if you play stealth and want to clear camps undetected. Sometimes you have those enemies that sit next to each other. In previous AC you had 2 hidden blades, now the only way to kill 2 guys is to headshot 1 with needler and assasinated the sleeping guy.

Hey he forgot the Nodan's Arc (hunter bow/isu bow) it is a powerful secret bow in an unbreakable rock in the top north of england at a lake on an island next to a drengr. You get it by hitting the iron deposit a couple times with any weapon then save, then load that save and repeat untill it is broken. Hope this helps. :)

Bullseye with poison runes, then use the poison trap arrow ability headshots and watch the mess. Just pick a target that other will see fall.

Great video like rest of yours. But u know actually viper bow have a bug with arrow capacity .Even u upgrade arrow capacity u can have more than 20.

People are little confused, runes from bow also applies to your weapon, feel free to go into battle, look at the sign on the runes, and you will see most easily with two spears that even though you do not use a bow and arrow, the rune turns on. Fact, try putting after crit. hit you regain some health ... he's wrong.

the problem with the predator bow is they NEVER fixed the sensitivity on the bow itself. It should have always had a separate sensitivity bar.

I just hit power level 115 and the Needler is still my favorite. Iron Cloud is my runner up.

Been playing for about 100h and i honestly love the predator bow and light bow. I do like the sniper "thin the herd" mentality but after a while i rush in with the light and kill everything. Never really used a hunter bow much, only if i run out of arrows for my other two..

I tried upgrading my arrows (to have more) but I still haven't gotten any more:(

I would like to get the Dreka bow because I’ve been running a heavy build but I can’t find a good bow to use and this would honestly be good because if it is increased by your armor and weight amount then I would have a 400-500% damage increase

Are you sure a bow's effects only apply to that weapon or does it also apply to your melee as well? Other KZfaqrs state it does the latter. (i.e. Viper Bow)

You are forgetting that all bow effect " perks" counts towards your whole build, in other words if a passive bonus is crit chance or crit damage that applies even if don't use the bow but is equipped

Ehh... once again it's what fits your play style. I use either the Recurve or the Needler because it is headshot central. The Needler is great in combat where you have archers grouped together up on a wall and you can knock them all out and get up there before they wake and murder them. Rarely use a hunter bow and the light bow is more for single target bosses in imo. I like to snipe and kill off the archers but once I am in combat it's all about the melee.

After finishing the game, going just under 100 hours, i dissagree on the predator bows. Like you said on melee weapons, every bonus u 'easy can get' is a good to have, the 2 predator bows with the 90% health bonus is basicly a free bonus at all times. I cleared out entire settlements with this bow, combined with the poison trap, you can clean out alot of places from a very very nice distance without to worry about detection. Pop a poison trap (offcourse with runes), then straight headshot 1, see them go crazy and finish of the bigger guys with a nice placed headshot. The same goes with the Sol, because you have a very very little chance of being spotted, you just drop your health to 40-45% (burn, fall, whatever) and stick to it, since there is no danger of fights you can dictate the entire combat sitation at all times. Specialy if you headshot one, and another comes checking, the back dmg actualy is pretty good dmg if you cant hit his head.

I am not sure why you didn’t mention it, but Dokkalfar bow is by far the best Hunter bow in the game (it increases your crit chance when close to full HP).

I think the speed of skadi wrath is more than viper bow and that's the reason why I use it

Longbow is really nice imo, great damage and range but it basically gives you smoke bombs, u can’t get just smoke bombs in this game and the longbow steps in and acts like one when used correctly

Preferring light bows, I used to use the Skadi before I got the Viper bow. The Viper has the quickest speed which is what I'm looking for in a light bow. Don't use anything else.

I dont understand why we cant swap between bows in a quick inventory slot like in odessey and origins when you can just open inventory and swap that way, only downside is the time i loose doing that
