Regardless of what you think of Anguish the weapon, the method and the lore associated with getting it is insane! The 'dream world' that the Dran is in at the end is more of a collapsed simulation than anything. It feels very much like implying that Remnant 2's current existing worlds are in fact the copies of existing worlds long gone, and that the only real world left was Root Earth which has been isolated in the system like a malware virus on a computer. The Dran's ability to go between these varies worlds is stellar, and would imply he knows how to manipulate it because he's the only one truly awake (hence why he keeps telling you to wake up before he disappears).

I am running a Nightmare Campaign and it just happened to be a perfect roll for this item. I got the Ethereal Mansion, the Red Empress, Morrow Parish, and Tal'Ratha's Refuge all in one run. I haven't gotten to Root Earth yet, but I am loving that I can do it all in this single campaign after I clear it. Would have never known it without this guide!

going to be honest, getting this after learning how wasnt hard, it was harder to get the Tranquil Heart imo.

If there are people wondering why the dran doesnt appear in the labyrinth here is the answer why: if the campaign playthrough was started before the dlc dropped, you need to restart a new one.

If you don't want to or can't because console use a save analyzer, I highly suggest using the awakened king to farm for the mansion as the first zone you go to after the default forlorn coast spawn can be a zone where the mansion can spawn so just keep re-rolling the awakened king until you find one with the second zone being what can spawn it, then explore it until you either find it or if its not there then reroll. its probably one of the fastest ways to find the mansion without using an analyzer

This is easily the most surreal and beautiful quest in this game with the final area being beautiful.

PS5 player here. It wasn’t bad. Most people aren’t realizing that you can use campaigns and adventures from your friends so long as everyone started the quest. I did it in a squad of three. We had everything queued up and bounced from one instance to the next.

Ok, for those struggling to make the thing spawn at the time of writting this, the analyzer don't makes the "Dranception" event even when it's there already, so i kind of found a way to make it a bit less rng. Start adventure in dlc, roll until you get Cotton's Kiln, it will be the first zone after the guy giving the speech, you have to make sure, it has no injectables, it seems it can only support one injectable, so if it has the graveyard one for exaple, re roll, make sure it has none, as most likely the analyzer don't recognize Dranception as an event right now. It worked for me the first time i saw this pattern, so i hope it works for others, until the analyzer gets updated again and recognzie the event.

Fun fact!. the file folder for this quest has been in game since lunch.. i have seen it over the save guardian it has been eating me for a long time to know what it was.. finally i can get it

This is actually a very flexible search. I jumped from adventure to campaign and found it all in an hour. Had my best tank build on because I drew Bruin boss at the end. 😂

I can't even imagine how people first figured this out. I will never have the patience for that but I'm glad they put fun things like this in the game.

i made an infinite ammo high fire rate build with alchemist gunslinger, high crit chance and devoured loop, and Nightfall/monarch and Anguish. the goal was to keep swapping between Anguish and Nightfall spamming their mods, but Anguish apparently doesn't generate mod power. once that gets fixed, i think it will be amazing. its stagger power is stupid high, so you can keep a decent size group of mobs staggered the entire mod duration.

Xbox player here. Only took a couple hours to complete. If you reroll the one true king map and run pretty much straight and past the guy that doing his speech, that dungeon is going to mostly always be a fire dungeon map. Just speed run it looking for the manor and reroll if it doesn't appear. Only took me a few rerolls to get it.

Do I need to start a new campaign? I played my last campaign run at veteran and turned the difficulty up to do forgotten king when I stumbled across this quest. Everything worked fine first half, but when I go back to the stage where you return to your campaign and hit ingress, the dran is not there for me.

Interesting idea for a weapon. I'm known for making shotgun sniper builds lol... gonna have to hunt this one down just to try it out. The Devastator was my favorite gun from the first game for being a shotgun sniper.

Just followed your guide to get the weapon on PS5. I had so much luck with the run I just redo to get this weapon : Yaesha Red Throne, N'rud Tal Ratha, Losomn nightweaver. The only one thing i had to create an adventure was to start the event at the etheral manor and i had it on my 1st attempt :p Really nicely done video, better than any written explanation ^^

Thx for this guide my brother and I got lucky and had every world we needed in campaign and the event dungeon on adventure so we just had to start it and just go to each location he was at. Very easy.

i was lucky enough that my 1st playthrough had most of the zones needed to just warp to them :D i love that they are still adding more stuff to the game in hide and seek puzzles

good things to note, if you go get the drans dream with a 3 man team. using 1 gives all three the gun leaving the other 2 with extra drans dream you can bring other people to drans dream for the gun. i did it for a couple people.

Took me two tries to get it. Around 2 hours. Best of luck to those trying to get it.

Hey, love the content, just started remnant 2, does this channel have full guides? like the maps are abit confusing for me when watching some videos, example, i think their is 2 parts to butchers quarters, im trying to get a bow and some armor, it seems though most content creators, literally start right around the corner from the item wanting to obtain, really looking for help, finding out how to progress awaken king, i swear eveything on my map is discoverd lol

Reset is accurate. Albeit you have to reroll the manor if you die at any point afterwards. Enemies will be in the manor you used to start the chain of you try to just use the same manor again.

I got Anguish, and honestly, I like. It’s a great deal of fun. The only question is figuring out which Mutator to use.

I got insanely lucky when I went for Anguish my first time. I got every world I needed in 1 campaign playthrough, including the dran "haunted mansion" that you need to start it in. I was worried I was going to have to keep re-rolling my adventure over and over again to do it.

I think you need a campain re-rolled after the DLC came out. Had one from prior but drow didnt appear in any of those places, even ward 13, but did appear on adventure ward 13. (Edit: Confirmed this, need a campain post DLC launch. Try to get one with the Narud and Asylum Bits you need, as theyre the longest to get to).

I got super lucky and had the perfect combination of worlds with all the checkpoints needed. Such a breeze and just walking through.

Throw on the Detonation Trigger amulet and every shot should apply burning at much higher damage than the Sparkfire Shotgun.

Feel bad for everyone who re-rolled the DLC before getting this quest line. You could get lucky with a campaign roll and have every place that you need so you can have the weapon in 15 mins versus days or hours of trying.

To anyone whos' using World Analyzer, Ethereal manor is not the event name, the event name is "Dranception" so if you see that then it means you have this quest. And dont keep rerolling because you didnt have the knowledge like me

Hey I think I have a bug or something cause after I did The red Throne and switch over to story mod to the labyrinth he doesn't appear you sure you have to do all of it in Adventure mod or can you just stare on adventure then go through the campaign mod?

I started the dlc on console today and ironically came across that manor on the first try. Unfortunately, I did the normal routine for the other item

I wish I saw this before I finished the quest in the ethereal manor, i finished the dream sequence without killing myself so I didn’t get to go into the other world for the item, quest I have to re-roll and hope for the best

Save Guardian is bugged anyway. Doesn't show the Manor. And when it does list the Manor is on your Map, the Manor is just not on your Map. Sometimes it lists the Manor in the Forgotten Comune within the Sewers.

You said the manor was rare, but the first time I tried to go for the anguish I had the instance in both the main campaign and the adventure

I mean this easter egg is actually achieveable through playing the game. Unlike the secret of getting the Archon Class and the 2 other items within the backrooms. That easter egg was litterally impossible to find, had it not been datamined.

My guess is that if you reroll the campaign or adventure mode that you start this, it removes the quest line and you'll have to start over.

Got lucky and my campaign spawned every area necessary besides the red throne, and that reroll is easy.

I wish Anguish was a long gun. We still have no primary weapon scaling with Detonating Trigger.

So I’m a bit confused, I went interacted with him on the red throne but once I switched to my campaign and went to the spot he wasn’t there. Is that due to my campaign being on apocalypse?

If you die once does it bug the quest he’s a or appearing where he originally was trying to get the neckless as well

Im probably gonna grind the campaign on survivor, cause im not risking death on my apoc campaign lol, then ill so all the steps, get the dream item, and open my lobby to public, and some lucky people can get it free without the anguish Edit: I suffered much anguish, so a couple others wouldn't. Only gonna ever do that again if I see the mansion again. I did my part.

I got lucky. I was playing with a couple random guys and out of the blue he threw down something and we teleported to the dran and got the crafting material needed for anguish.

For anyone searching, in my experience, the Remnant 2 save manager does NOT specifically list the Ethereal Manor. Instead, I had to search for one of the burning areas (Cotton's Kiln, Butcher's Quarter, etc) until I found one with no injectables at all. I don't think the save manager recognizes it yet, so it leaves it out. No injectable means there is nothing conflicting with the manor spawn, so it should be there. Also, the Consecrated Throne (the zone after you Liquid Escape) can show as an injectable regardless of the presence of the Manor, so don't use that as a compass. EDIT: It looks like Save Guardian was recently updated as of 11/19. I haven't tested it, but manor *might* show now.

Fun fact: if you go back to all spots you found him in and pin or aim at where he was standing, you'll get a green indicator. despite him disappearing before our eyes, his still actually there (lore accurate 😜)

When you say don’t die when you use liquid death does that mean I shouldn’t die while I do the questline or you meant that I shouldn’t be dead if I didn’t triggered the quest yet?

OK, so I’m running into a problem here I went back to my campaign after I went to the red throne and he’s not in the labyrinth for me not in the exact spot you said he has he’s not there I don’t know where he is. What am I supposed to do like I need some help here he’s just not there. I follow the steps, flashing screen, and everything up until like this point and he’s not standing there, so what’s going on?

Well it took me pretty much all day, since I did it solo! It's not a bad gun, but I will stick with my enigma! It was definitely fun and challenging, but a must-have, if you're a completionist!

My cult, fun while it lasted. We were so close just focused to much on that damn MeatShake.

Tbh this isn't that bad of a weapon to get, I kind of made a personal checklist and did a couple campaign runs until it lined up, I did have to do a reroll of adventure mode to get the mansion event but everything else popped up in my campaign, the hardest part was getting to the dran on root earth because there isn't a world stone directly next to him and I nearly died fighting the mantis thing that crawls out of that building just past the crater you find the spitfire in. It was a lot harder unlocking the Archon archetype for me.

Just came back for the dlc and I already met all the conditions on my last play through. Got the gun in about 15 min 😂

I absolutely love this game. I was hoping they would include visibility similar to the analyzer in-game. Not sure why they don’t as they are well aware and seem to support the use of the 3rd party tool. I’m just happy I’m not a console player.

Wow.... This guide made me feel like the luckiest person in the world..... I got Anguish 1 day after the DLC dropped, by accident without ever needing Adventure mode.... And I looked up this video after seeing the "5 Insane new DLC weapons" and Anguish came up as a community endevor at the end of that video. After I completed the One shot I rerolled my Campagin and it put me in Morrow Parish, I was also on Veteran so the game was easy and It's basically impossible to die on Vet if you have even half a build and since I already got the amulet from the Mansion in the One Shot I just drank the "Respawn" potion because of the book on the table that says "The only way out is to escape" or something like that. After Morrow's Parish, I ended up at the Red Throne, Followed by the Forgotten Prison. And anyone with half a brain would assume after a new DLC drops, new items come with it. I was simply Item hunting in all worlds.... EDIT: This was going to be a comment for the "5 Insane new DLC weapons" but might as well just say it here. I had no clue you could interact with the Lighthouse key.... I spent hours trying to find a way to open that door.... Unsuccessfully...

After getting it, it is an ok weapon, however this takes soo long to get I will never stop using it.

Mine is glitched or something. I can meet him back at ward 13 and the red throne but when I get to the labyrinth he's not there?
