🔴REMEMBER TO SUBSCRIBE TO THIS CHANNEL🔴Lagadadi dam is a buttress type concrete gravity dam. Legedadhi dam is the largest water supply dam for Addis Ababa City. The dam was designed by Studio Petrangeli and constructed between 1967 and 1970 by Salini Impringilo. It consist four major dam types: Concrete Butress Dam, Concrete Gravity Dam , Asphalt Face Rockfill Dam and Asphalt Core Rockfill Dam. Lagadadi concrete buttress dam has 200m Length, 44m Max. height and 3.5 m Crest width. On the other hand, the Concrete Gravity dam part has a Length of 125 m, a Max. height of 16 m and a Crest width of 3.5 m.
The reservoir has a total volume 40 Mm3 and cover an area of 5.5 Km2 at MWL

Sediment and quality control structures: racks, screens, traps, sedimentation tanks, filters, sluiceways.
Hydraulic machines: turbines, pumps, ramps,
Storage structures: dams or tanks e.t.c.
Shore protection structures: Dikes, groins, jetties, revetments
