i think kohls realized that selling it off to liquidators at pennies on the dollar they were losing profit, this way is better for us and them to bring in new inventory

Yeah they do, you just have to go during the event. This event was May 27-June 5. They only do it 5-6 times a year for like a week each time.

Finally made it to a Kohls Clearance Event. Got a Whopping 8 items. It's a start. (but that was all I could afford anyway) Only 2 pairs of shoes unless you wanted S.O. or Sonoma but that's ok. Now I see how it works. Baby Steps

Question for you regarding sport specific shoes (cleats); do you list those types of shoes with (or just before) the sports' season or just list year round? In my mind I'd be listing fall sport shoes now (football, soccer) and less so spring sports. Thanks!

I always try to list items whenever I get them to give them a chance to sell. Then when the season rolls around I’ll readjust to markets. But it has no chance to sell if it’s not listed

You either aren’t hitting the stores at the right time or you don’t know what you’re looking for. When starting out look everything up and eventually, you will have an eye for profit. It takes years upon years to get good at this. I have sourced many different cities and there’s profit all over the place. Dont blame your stores, take accountability and figure out what you are doing right or wrong. Also, you don’t even need good stores when there’s crazy amount of profit sitting online especially right now in the summer. I’ve been getting boxes upon boxes on my doorstep daily of great Q4 inventory from all of the companies liquidating before this year’s Q4. And just like with in store, this just takes time and doing the research.

I mentioned this with a few pairs of the shoes, they will brick in the short term, but I don’t play the short term game, I play the long-term game. Shoes sell through fast so doesn’t take but a couple months for them to recover. And it’s also not with every pair, the only ones that were really widely available in this sale were the giannis and the boots.

You have to go during an event and it’ll be an extra 50% off of the yellow tag. This event was May 28-June 5. If you go right now it’ll just be what the tag is, they only run these special events 4-5 times a year. To now what a good price will depend on the shoes, you have to do the research on the eBay app per pair.

I wouldn’t start in retail and online arbitrage as it’s very risky and most people who start their fail. I recommended starting thrifting and hitting liquidation bins like I’m doing in my flipping from zero series
