Not speaking absolutely here, just from my limited experience so far. Also I don’t even think Lanius is even capable of feeling anything but rage and bloodlust by this point so eh.

@@medibirb6912 I think it's more likely that if you are modeling this character off of ancient Romans, he is sincerely committed to a certain ideology and creed which causes him to act honorably while also aggressive and demeaning to those he considers weak. It's probably a bad idea to apply 21st century ideas of "hate" and "insecurity" in this case, even though our society really loves to analyze history through modern lenses.

Certainly friend! Though be aware that everyone’s opinions are different and what I consider chilling to me might not be chilling to you. I found the villain of the telltale game wolf among us to be fantastic and sinister but I can’t reveal them without being a major spoiler. He personifies how fable town has has failed the community so much that people are willing to work with evil people to survive. Their right hand woman is also a very fun character. In the short indie game “grotto” the villain is also a spoiler but symbolizes cultural imperialism and then entering the story really makes you feel like your way of life and the community is under threat. You work as a soothsayer and can only communicate through zodiac signs. Very interesting game. In paradise killer you are an immortal detective for demon worshiping Demi gods and you need to uncover who killed your old boss who sent you to prison. The villain behind the murder is very cunning and fascinating. In the case of the golden idol the villain gave me great chills as to my horror his plan and motivations fell into place. A great puzzle detective game. El Paso, Elsewhere has the villain being the protagonists ex girlfriend and is one of the rare times that depicts a toxic abusive relationship with a female abuser. There are other games that have chilling antagonists that I enjoyed recently but these are the some of the ones that are more individual with strong forces of personality in my opinion. I also enjoyed the Gillian of games like banner saga but it is a little fantastical and probably not what you are looking for. I hope you enjoy.
