@joythree4 Before a later update, you didn't get to keep the clothes/sword you had to get in the tall tale. Rare fixed that now, but if you completed it already, you will have to do it again.

I grew up with the original Monkey Island & with Prince of Persia. Awesome to see to play it now in a real 3D world instead of point and click as it was used to be. I completed the 1st Tale myself yesterday with a friend. It was super fun. I expected to see Stan ( who sell you the boat; once you bought the boat, the mast breaks and he tells you. Sold is sold xD ) Great tutorial and keep up your great vids. Cheers!

For some reason while watching this, i just got an unsettling feeling about the cursed captain. No only was he a main role in the pirates life tall tale, he is now in the world of melee island which is an entirely different setting as far as i know. Something is kinda stabbing me about him🤔

After I put the root beer at the shop in the end I went back to the bar to talk to the dog the door was closed locked the back door was open so I sword lunged talked to spiffy and it didn't register ugh so frustrating

I just tried this for the first time yesterday, with a friend, and it had to be glitched. We never saw a single piece of eight, and we were opening tons of those boxes and looking everywhere. We didn't know they were things that could be found, and were wondering how we were supposed to get them, but we looked in so many boxes, so we should have found some. I was wondering aloud why there were all these boxes to open that had nothing in them. "What was the point of that?", I asked. Also, when my friend talked to the chef (before I did), he immediately told him (us) that he was fired. We were never hired. Also, people kept telling us "Oh, you've talked to the governor? (Guybrush)" But that was before we had! We got the inkwell and the credit slip thing, but other than that seemed stuck. Even tried sailing around the island to get to the bay, but the game puts invisible walls in the way? That stinks. They could at least put obstacles of some kind in the way so that it makes any kind of sense that you can't just sail around, if they don't want you to. Another thing, our "loading area" cutscene was not the same as the one you showed here; Instead, Only LeChuck's ship showed up on our left, and he materialized on our deck and had a whole dialogue thing. Did I somehow select episode 2 or something? I don't know what was going on.

Not sure is it because I chose "Safer seas" mode but my first Monkey Island experience was way different. There were no pieces of eight to be found, no skeleton guard. The island seemed less lively. And the chef immediately fired me when I went to talk to him.

THIS TALL TALE IS MAKING ME HATE THE GAME! I have attempted it three times. First time everything went well but I didn't carry Murray all over the place so I thought I will just cancel the tale and do it again. Upon my second and now third attempts the game will not let me use the hammer to interact with the sunken shipment. I FINALLY got Murray on the third attempt to interact with all 9 locations but still cannot get the shipment open so I am stuck. That is three hours of my life wasted. Get it together Rare!

I realized you have to use the crane to turn the crate ALL the WAY to its stop, then lower. If you dont hear the clunk when it hits the pier it will not work. All done now!

Thanks for the guide jast wish rare would include more gameplay elements like a grapple gun or something. These isolated stories do nothing for the actual game, and noone cares about an obscure Lucas arts game. One piece maybe but even with that sot needs more actual game content.
