Valeria? Is this in the same universe as Game of Thrones?

No, in GoT, that is Valyria. Valeria in the Sword of Truth series is akin to Avalon in the Arthurian legends, hidden from the eyes of men who know no magic. Valyria, by contrast, is a little like Atlantis, a great civilization which fell due to the arrogance and moral depravity of its leading classes, and hence, is no longer even accessible except as ruins.

@@Jemalacane0 I too LOVED this show!! The books too! In the original Conan the Barbarian, Valeria was the name of Conan's girlfriend. Unsure if the remake of the film makes any reference to her or nor as I've never seen the new film.
