And at the end you`ve seen an almost iconic character. It`s Victor, he sells blackpowder, and he deserves much more screentime than he got here.

Taldorei is the continent/country. It has a weird hybrid governing system where the continent is full of city states but have a capital city Emon with a sovereign. So even if there is an ultimate ruler, each city-state is very isolated and self-governing in-between the sovereign's infrequent orders. That is why Whitestone's problems can go on for years without Emon's awareness or intervention.

All of VM had been here before, delivering an unholy thing to be kept safe in a holy place. One of those monsters attacked the city wall, they went to go kill it, interfering in the Take's contract. To get around the bureaucracy, they went through the trial of the take to become members. Zahra and Kash oversaw their trials, and they're voiced by the same actors that guested in the livestream (Zahra is the voice director of the animated version, too). They weren't this antagonistic, originally - neither was the sphinx - but Zahra was downright flirty with Vex. Now that you've met the black powder merchant, you should look up the Victor compilation by Birds&Critters. Matt's performance, and the players' reactions, are *not* to be missed.

The Kingdom of Tal'Dorei encompasses almost the entire continent of Tal'Dorei, which is why the continent is now also known by that name. Emon: The capital of the Kingdom of Tal'Dorei. It's on the western coast and got somewhat destroyed in 2x01. Whitestone: A semi-independent city state in the north of the continent of Tal'Dorei. Percy's hometown. Westruun: One of the largest cities in the Kingdom of Tal'Dorei. Pike grew up here. Syngorn: Another major city in the Kingdom of Tal'Dorei, almost exlusively elven. Vasselheim: The oldest city in Exandria. The very first city, the cradle of civilisation, the only major mortal settlement that survived the Calamity (that's the huge war between the gods the sphinx was talking about, the vestiges were created for that). It's in a country called Othanzia on the continent of Issylra, to the northwest of Tal'Dorei. Ok, I think that should suffice for this season. The world's a whole lot bigger than that, but I won't bog you down with not yet relevant details.
