@@austinchoy7677 to get to different towns using a magic teleportation spell you need to construct a sigil that connects them, thus town a, b, c, d, etc. can each teleport to one another as long as they have a magic sigil constructed allowing it. There was never a sigil in Whitestone, yet the dragon in her human form claimed to use a sigil in Whitestone. If any of the people playing realized it they would have gotten suspicious.

@@myTERAexperience It's sort of double-edged clue, 'cose even though the players have been "aware" of the lack of sigil for months at best, at least one or two characters themselves should probably have been painfully aware of the travel-restrictions. It's not like "well, I was in a pub in London Trafalgar Square when I saw it" and you'd have to have quiet good knowledge of said area to know whether there was or was not a pub there (heck, I've once visited said square and can't still say without checking. A sigil would be quite a thing of importance, and unique to boot, so it'd be closer to saying something like "I landed on the Liverpool airport", if it so happened that Liverpool suddenly didn't sport one. Sure, outsiders who've just heard of Liverpool could automatically assume there was one, but even they'd be more like "oh, they have one?", but anyone who's spend extended time there would know that it wouldn't have one. And Percival was not only from there, but had rather vested interested in it after liberating it. And either he was not present when the clue was dropped or he really dropped the ball on the whole "checking your homestead" thing...

So is the real Yennon dead then from series one or has it been the dragon the whole time ?

@@Dragon_LairThat is a fair point. Although, it Reddick never did any voice lines for Thordak on Season 3, there are good VA’s that can fill in those shoes like Kieth David.

Kevin Micheal Richardson would also be a good one. I actually thought it was his voice when at first when Thordak spoke

unforunate but the timing is also great for replacing the VA. Thordak getting insane is good time for voice change, personally i would prefer Matt doing insane Thordak, but i can see why outside of a tabletop game shows wanna avoid similar voices. As talented as Matt is it's just "MattCharming, MattInsane, MattGilmore" and so on, they are very different but at the fcore it's still Matt's voice and this show is meant to please more than just tabletop fans of VM

I say it every time, but, if I had a nickel for every time Cree played an evil dragoness that turns against the big evil dragon she was serving, and that escaped his imprisonment plane thanks to that dragoness... I would have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

Easiest explanation is that Raishan knocked Yennen out just like the four here, and just assumed her role in White Stone for the time being . Doubt she'd kill Yennen if she's asking the group for a team up. But who knows.

This is something that I've battled with for a bit, but part of the difference between the show Raishan and the game Raishan is that the show contextualises a lot of her actions clearly. We watch Raishan rain death down on thousands of people and directly kill the Sovereign (implied in the game). She is undeniably evil or the very least so distant from anything resembling what the humanoids of Exandria would consider moral. With the party being weaker in the show, it makes sense for Raishan to give a more visual show of power. I prefer some of the in-game lines and the slower pacing of the scene, but hoping that her backstory reveals next season should make up for it. I hope she remains subtle about how capable she is; part of what made Raishan's ploy work is that she faked being weak and didn't have the same level of vanity to anger too much over being called so. I get that she needs to block the dagger magically to go, "Hey, audience! this the mage dragon!". Fingers uber crossed for Larkin shenanigans.

I have to think that it was really clever of how they did that with Raishan in the animated version; the idea is very similar to what she did in the stream, she’s only now including the others in on the blackmail.

@@sodasaintcommentaries4054 I'm not saying it didn't work. It's a much easier transition between Gina Torres' voice and Cree Summer's voice than an alternative, for example. IIRC, they spend at least two episodes informing the others while trying to hide it from Raishan.

In TLoVM we haven't really seen Assum more than appearing in some distance shots... So Yennan makes a better character for the rug pull on a new audience.

lol it was actually a running gag in C1, that he was Assumed to be seeker Assume. But I digress, Seeker Assum was part of the Taldorei council, the sneaky guy who did all the espionage. They swopped him for Keeper Yennin, I presume to cut down on character overload.

You can see him standing with the council at Uriel's abdication. The halfling man.

@@TPBurrow ok. Honestly C1 was a little blurry for me. *SPOILERS:* I didn't even remember Yennin and I only remember that Raishan had transformed into a guy named Larkin and Liam was confused about it.

They did change the order of some things, for example they went to the Fey realm after they took down Umbrasyl, and they did some important things before Raishan came to them. I'd say start at episode 64 instead (they just left the Fey realm). Only recent thing they might not cover is a group of assassins come after Vax, some relationships may be a bit farther along than they are in the show, and that Ripley wasn't partnered up with Umbrasyl. Edit* they also didn't adapt like the first 26 ish episodes of the live show, plus the pre stream stuff other than the Brymsyth (blue dragon) stuff. Its honestly fine not watching them. Basically it covers their adventure in Kraighammer, and them going to Vasselheim and meeting the Slayers take (they were already on better footing with them by the time they came back to learn about the Vestiges). The brairwood arc starts basically after that. I will say you might want to watch the pre stream summary video. Its not necessary, but its nice to have some context.

As someone who personally loved the format of C1 over C2, I have to recommend just watching all of campaign 1. I know a lot of people skipped it because the early episodes aren't as polished, but it's so good. With the show as a foundation you technically could jump in later, but you would have missed out on so much good.

@@user-jt1js5mr3f Hard agree my fellow critter. Its rough with some of the early audio issues and Tiberius... but the whole show is so good. Even the Kraghammer arc despite its flaws has so many awesome moments packed in.

@@undeathghost5627 I also didn’t find the tech issues to be too bad. Only a couple of moments were really rough and they usually ironed them out before too long. If anyone is put off by the lower production quality, well…they’re definitely not D&D fans 😂

They clarified in the watch party that Raishan's version is missing Yennen's birthmark, which we do see when she is describing the tree to Keyleth. Meaning she was replaced sometime after that episode.

Keeper Yennen was well established in Season 1 of the animated series, so the reveal actually meant something. The original character, Seeker Assum, was not established in the animated series. He was just briefly shown in a couple of scenes in Season 1 (the dinner in Episode 3, the abdication in Episode 12) and never said a word. He was little more than an easter egg for fans of the original campaign.
