In Xenoblade Chronicles, there are hundreds of side quests throughout the game. During a late game one, if you have Melia in the active party, she will make a remark, and the npc will respond, “Well excuse me, princess!”

yeah, I agrees, play undertale!* it's best played blind, but there should be nonspoiler guides to give you hints. Plus there's even a friendly tutorial character! :) [sadly...or amazingly, the game is infested with something. you'll find out if you wait when told... or by progressing-although it's subtle, and requires checking things] and after that, play deltarune! There's a real interesting tweet by Toby Fox about the development of that game... and it even is loosely connected to a song! The first chapter (the only one available; do not ask when the next ones are coming out, Mr Fox will not tell) is 100% free. *btw, sans' theme is not Megalovania. it's 'sans.'.preemptive edit for clarity: no, op was not neccesarily conflating the two.

6:34 I've noticed another Zelda Easter egg in Undertale: the Deltarune emblem. While not quite an exact match, it does feature a triangle centered below a pair of wings with a circle between them. This parallels the Hylian royal crest with the triforce between the wings and the tail/claws below too closely for me to ignore. Furthermore, both emblems are prominently displayed as the crests of their royal families.
@maggieent3215
@maggieent3215 4 жыл бұрын
oooh! Good catch! [I feel the need to note that the meaning of the deltarune is more abstract, and confusing in its meaning, although the visual similarities remain the same. It does have something to do with power in the interpretation from either game ... but in what way deltarune has, I am not entirely certain.]
@brianna7705
@brianna7705 4 жыл бұрын
The Deltarune in Undertale is connected to a prophecy of an “angel” that will come from the Surface (Earth) to the Underground and empty it. This connects to the game’s two main routes: a) free all monsters (true pacifist) or b) kill everything in sight (genocide). The circle with wings is supposed to represent the “angel,” which is heavily implied to be either the player, or the playable character. The three triangles are a bit more mysterious as to their meaning, though…

Zetik, I must mention, there is an Item in the warcraft-mod-turned standalone-multiplayer game *Dota2* , called _Linken's sphere_ : which is a subtle nod to the Mirror Shield from Legend Of Zelda as it completely nullifies a spell cast at the bearer with the ingame item description written to be "This magical sphere once protected one of the most famous heroes in history.." which I think is absolutely amazing :) However the most amazing Zelda reference in Dota2 is not just Linken's sphere: but a strange mysterious sceptre described as 'The scepter of a wizard with demigod-like powers.' which grants the bearer a huge upgrade to the power of their ultimate spell. This item is named... ... _Aghanim's Scepter._ Did I mention how it's also shaped like Ganon's Trident?

I’ve got one. In Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, originally released on the PS4, we meet a character named Tabbias. His design is similar to Link; both are swordsmen employed by a royal family and both wear green tunics. Although, Tabbias also has hints of a dark blue on his tunic which could reference the Zora Tunic or the blue Champion’s Tunic. The fandom wiki for the NNK series states that Tabbias could be a reference to Link from the Zelda series. It’s not direct, but it’s a fun little possible nod to the popular series in a not so popular series. NNK 2 is a game that I love and when I noticed the similarities I was so happy since I started playing Breath of the Wild before I started playing the Nintendo Switch release of NNK 2 this past Christmas.

I got one. Fable III has a Zelda easter egg. I forget where exactly as it's been literal years since I've played it and even longer since I've seen the easter egg. In a large graveyard you can read the tombstones and dig up the graves. One of which says "It's Dangerous To Go Alone" and when dug up gives you a wooden sword just like the first Zelda game. I remember finding that randomly when playing with a friend. Oh I need to play the game again. Also a little tip for anyone who wants to get rich quick in Fable III. Rent out all of the houses. You have the option of buying a house for yourself or renting it out for someone else to live in. Rent it out and you'll earn money over time. Keep doing it and you'll amass tons of money. Do it in every town you go to and you'll be rolling in it.

@@a-history-nerd No Square Enix would still be 3rd party. 2nd party would imply that Nintendo owns Square Enix. For example, GAME FREAK is 3rd party company that develops a 1st party series for Nintendo.

@Zeltik: I've got a question/theory for you to look into. At the end of LoZ:SS, Link defeats the Imprisoned (a.k.a. Demise) in the Present by making a wish on the Triforce. Later on, Link goes into the Past to save Zelda, and ends up defeating and sealing Demise into the Master Sword (with Fii's help). If Demise was defeated and sealed away in the Past, how could Link have defeated the Imprisoned (a.k.a. Demise) in the Present via the Triforce? Did this action create a time paradox in the Zelda Universe, or did it simply create an earlier time split (similar to the infamous one featured in LoZ:OoT) where Demise was defeated 2 separate ways in 2 separate points in time?
@nicolaswarren3453
@nicolaswarren3453 4 жыл бұрын
Well, from what I remember of how time travel worked in SS I think this specific situation would result in a self-correcting loop. The only reason Link had to defeat the Imprisoned in the Present was to stop him from reaching the temple and gaining his full power. Sealing Demise in the Past would self-correct the need to stop the Imprisoned since the Triforce seems to be able to act outside the flow of time. Although, that would introduce further problems since sealing Demise would render all the events of SS null. However, it may be that Link simply stopped Demise from affecting other timelines since he clearly travels back to a Present that has felt the effects of the imprisoned. Though, again, that raises more questions since Zelda games have never worked with parallel timelines within the confines of a single game.
@L337M4573RK
@L337M4573RK 4 жыл бұрын
@@nicolaswarren3453 When I first played LoZ:SS, I originally thought that it was a self-correcting loop (similar to a temporal causation loop) as well, however there are several inconsistencies with that logic (including the ones you have already mentioned). The biggest problem is the one I stated before in regards to Link using the Triforce to seal the Imprisoned beneath the giant Goddess Statue at the Sealed Grounds. If Link completely sealed Demise away via the Master Sword (and Fii) in the Past, then what did the Triforce seal beneath the giant Goddess Statue in the Present? Also, Zelda sealed herself in a large crystal in the Past in order to maintain the seal on Demise/the Imprisoned, and was only able to be freed from said crystal once Link defeated Demise/the Imprisoned with use of the Triforce in the Present. This is why I don't think that this is a self-correcting loop, since it creates several critical paradoxes in the process. The only way this entire operation would make any logical sense would be if both events occurred, but on alternate timelines (one where a Restored Demise was defeated by Link, Fii, and the Master Sword early on, and one where the Imprisoned (a weakened form of Demise) was defeated by Link and the Triforce many years later)! Think about how time travel worked in the movie Avengers: Endgame or in the Dragonball Z TV series (namely during the Androids and Cell sagas). Finally, when we finally see Zelda, Link, and Groose return to the Present through the Gate of Time, they are simply returning to the timeline where the Imprisoned was sealed beneath the giant Goddess Statue, not the one where Demise was defeated by Link in that epic duel (even though Demise's essence is still sealed inside the Master Sword). The reason why Impa dissolved away at the end was because she was extremely old, and that her mission to protect Zelda was finally fulfilled (much like how the Monks located in the Shrines in LoZ:BotW dissolved away once Link received a Spirit Orb from them). Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense for Impa to seek out Zelda via use of the Gate of Time in the Present if Demise had already been completely defeated by Link in the Past!
