Me too, until I think about it. I hardly watched the weekly ones. Ian was clearly not happy doing it, and as Pat pointed out here, he actually made two NES Punk videos within the same month. So I think ridding themselves of the weekly schedule is better for them, as Ian is a lot more involved now. He laughs; which he probably hadn’t done in years previously.

@@NintendoLAW Not everytime. But they do, at least to me, seem happier with the new setup. I can definitely remember Ian telling Pat quite a few times, “I have absolutely no interest in this” when a topic was brought up. Was it every week? No. But it was there. And I haven’t seen it since. And, let’s be honest, they put in their years. I’m more just happy they decided on “we’ll make a video whenever we feel its needed (news-wise), than throwing in the towel all together.

Regarding Avid Arad, the reason why he was listed as Producer for all the pre-MCU movies is because of what happened in the 90's. When Marvel nearly went bankrupt due to the comic book industry crashing, his company ToyBiz bought them out to keep them afloat.

It’s funny hearing so many people saying his name. Avi Arad was a huge staple in Wizard Magazine in the late 90s since he was the big hope for comic book movies ever being any good.

Also a co-producer of The Bots Master, one of the more underrated 90s cartoons. I think that was the last non-Marvel cartoon he produced before going into the long line of Marvel properties

probably because they want to make it seem more mature. zelda has always been one of Nintendo's more mature franchises. I would prefer it to be animated like a studio ghibli movie, but live action does better with adults

Live action Zelda is probably the riskiest way to go about that. After Nintendo knocked it out of the park by having a computer animated Mario, it’s confusing. I mean, if they got Peter Jackson and said ‘make us Lord Of the Rings but Zelda’ and forked out a Billion dollars, I still don’t think it would work. I’m sure it will be ‘Breath of the Wild’ but even that is probably going to be polarizing. I would love to see Jim Henson Co. make a Zelda in the style of Dark Crystal. I remember saying that when I first saw Dark Crystal in like 1994. It just fit my imagination from Zelda 1, 2 and even Link to the Past

I teach at a university and we use a few different sets of software to determine if reports are written by AI. Usually step 1 is getting a "high score" that it was written by AI, while step 2 is calling the student in and asking them point blank if they used AI to write their paper.

I agree... no one wants live action Zelda... Animated makes more sense and would draw more people. I don't want this to turn out like the He-Man movie, or SMB's movie... which Ill bet happens.

Pat, teachers do not have any tools to detect AI written articles (public schools). My mom worked in the school district for over 15 years, and public schools barely have enough funding for anything, let alone computer related things. Schools are woefully unprepared for AI generated cheating, and that's not likely to change this decade.

I still to this day love the Ben Affleck daredevil movie. I also didn’t like bullseye’s costume or lack there of. But I watched that dvd all the time in middle school.

I agree. When we can all agree a movie isn’t great, we should be able to at least appreciate the parts that are. I think Affleck made a great Matt Murdock and a lot of the “blind” details were fantastic. And a lot of the gothic imagery was pitch perfect. Bullseye was terrible.

There's also E3 presentations where Martinet does full comedy routines in the Mario voice (Also in the typing games Mario teaches full lessons). Mario speaking is well tread ground, Martinet was only snubbed because Pratt was the safer bet for a box office draw. They've never attempted to give Link even single words in any official game or presentation. Only in the cdi and TV show do we hear an attempt- which sucked so much Nintendo never attempted it after and never spoke of it since.

I'm not into NES style games, but that Prison City looked damn good and truly like an NES style. Always hate seeing SNES style games (the nostalgia I actually like) that actually don't really look like a quality SNES game graphically.

Goldfish have a very long lifespan if you take care of them like you should. But since most people treat them like dirt, they indeed die very quickly. They also don't have a super short memory span, that is just a common lie that is still being spread. Goldfish can recognize their owner's face, they did tests with that stuff. Can you imagine a life form with a memory span of just a few minutes? Natural selection would kill it off in a blink of an eye. Also, please consider not eating animals, they deserve better than that. Thanksgiving is a perfect time to spread awareness instead of going "TURKEY TIME!".

When they hired Pratt, they probably did it because he's experienced. Just like you'd hire an ugly waiter that has years of great experience. You don't necessarily "care" about what the public thinks because you know the job is going to get done easily regardless.

Pat Ian doesn't respect you. He does not watch your videos because he is not interested in you. It always seems like he would rather be somewhere else than doing the podcast. You invited him to share your platform, which you had already established without him. I'm sure the income from the podcast was much needed while he worked at Luna. Also gave him a fan base to reach out to when he needed help financially for health reasons. I'm also assuming his new job was gained somehow by being part of the podcast, either a fan or industry colleague connection gained from exposure from the podcast. I think he owes you a lot. He is rather ungrateful, IMO. The least he could do is watch the videos that built the platform that has helped his life in so many ways. Ian is great for the show when he is in a good mood and not checking his watch every 5 min.

"It is not controlled by the governement"??? This is the all point of the NFTs. Everything can be traced (why are you digging otherwise????). This is why, when the old people will be replaced by the kids that grew up with NFTs, they will replace dollars by a crypto currency. Humans have never created a better tracking tool than NFTs. It is coming for all of us, it is inevatible. I agree at 100% with you, Ian and Patt, including the laughter, but I also know what is coming...

I watch your podcast because I share basically the same opinions as you guys. But I try to be very short on KZfaq and nuances are lost... I am NOT a lunatic or trying to push anything. I have zero crypto, and never bought any NFT. But I am a tech guy and I have a functional brain...

When I first heard about NFTs I thought the _tech_ behind it was a cool idea in theory. But crypto bros have no imagination, the can't think of anything better than using it for trading JPGs hosted on centralized servers just so they can get rich off a price speculation bubble.
