Sensational video! At about the 4th minute, I had to put the video on hold as it made so so darn hungry. Had a bowl of cereal to tie me over. Puerto Rican food is a combo of Spanish, Sephardic, Moorish, West African, and Native American influences. It is this amalgamation that makes it so special. Am so glad you got a chance to partake of that sumptuous treat. Hopefully, many others will be inspired to try it.

Two kinds if Alcapurria. There is the brownish green banana, and the golden yellow yuca or cassava ( a typical caribean root vegetable ), both deep fried. Everything is good in this place. Don't even mention calories or exercise when you go there. Great review, thanks again for venturing deep in the hood to showcase its gems.

My man not for nothing but I'm jealous of you I was home last weekend and I never had a chance to eat any of my traditional Puerto Rican food and had too many things that I had to do before I got back on the road. I've heard a lot about Freddie and Tony's restaurant and never had the opportunity. I'm very happy that you had the opportunity to explore a small piece of the Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 culture. Around the Christmas holidays through January 6th which is 3kings day that we celebrate more than any holiday throughout the year. You can ask any Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 what is the best holiday to celebrate and they will say Christmas and 3kings day. I'm out here in the state of Washington and I come across your video, in my home town eating my favorite food and Washington doesn't have this type of food........ lol Thank You For Sharing Your Experience With Our Puerto Rican Food. Buen Provecho

JL, you are certainly moving up in the Foodie Vloggers World👍 Earlier this month you & Mark Wiens @ Angelo's Pizzaria was super. Today, a very impressive showing of tradional Puerto Rican cooking # Freddy & Tony's! How was the puerco asado compared to Porky's Corner? However my favorite Puerto Rican comfort food restaurant is 188 Cuchufritas in the Bronx, NYC! It very nice that you & Mark got SPECIAL VIP treatment at Angelo's(eating upstairs in the owners lounge) and at Freddy's & Tony's ( Free food & a place to eat in the closed dining room)!
