PLEASE NOTE: I played the covenant keyword wrong..... you can recruit ANY card next to a covenant keyword card for free when you purchase a covenant card, just had to be less cost! so I made the game harder!

Its amazing to me how important theme is. When it comes to board games. This game is a perfect example. I'm not a fan of any legendary game. Except this one. I love this game!

Hey Colin, not sure if you catch it in the next video but I think you misread the covenant rule. The rulebook says when you buy a covenant card, you gain an adjacent card of lower cost next to it for free. The adjacent card doesn't have to have covenant, which makes the keyword so much better.

How replayable is Covenant as a player versus player game? I never played Legendary Encounters, but I like the idea of playing a head to head game as David.

I'm looking for cooperative deck-building games to play with my partner. I bought Aeon's End War Eternal, even though I'm not really feeling the theme. Being a sci-fi fan, Legendary Encounters Alien seemed like an obvious choice too. We are only looking into cooperatives games, and since I know the first Alien expansion has the Queen Mode, we skipped it. My question now is, is it worth buying the Covenant expansion solely for the additional cooperative mode material?

I only play coop and enjoy the additional material to play but I will say it doesn't add a ton. Check out Helionox it has a coop variant and is sci fi. The other one is xenoshyft . That is a very interesting deckbuilder coop and is sci fi. There is also Shadowrun Crossfire as well. Good luck deciding!

I know this vid is two years old but I want to ask? Should I sleeve the cards? I hear UD is really good at making cards that on par with regular playing cards which are subject to rigorous testing for durability.

I certainly feel like you don't have too! But do know it's a deckbuilder so you are shuffling cards a ton. So having those sleeves protects the cards!

@@OneStopCoopShop True, I just have ALOT of cards to sleeve and it's pricey to say the least considering I have Base Marvel Legendary, both volumes of Secret Wars, World War Hulk, and the Venom small box expansion plus I might want to mash up Alien and Marvel sometime. Plus I've seen some good methods of intergrating the two for a game like having a mastermind be the third objective with the mini-deck comprised of their 4 tactics, "always leads" group, along with a few hazards and event cards with the event cards now triggering their Master Strike ability. Thank you for responding in such a short time frame! What's the best method for shuffling if you don't my asking?

I totally get it! I do the deal shuffle so I don't bend my cards. You deal them out randomly on the table and then just pick them up. It helps with wear and tear!

@@OneStopCoopShop What exactly is the deal shuffle? Last question I swear. I only ask because I've been using a card shuffler machine but I don't think it makes the Villian/Hive and Hero/Barracks decks random enough.

I deal out 4 piles on the table facedown and that seems to give a good shuffle and not destroy the cards!

@Dr. D of Astrology Marvel is the only Legendary ive played. Found it to be extremely easy Solo. Good with 3-4, nearly impossible with 5

Honestly, I don't think any one is better than the other. They're all well done games that work great for Solo. I've played them all and enjoy all of them equally - base (core) system and encounters alike for Solo and multiplayer. It all just comes down to what theme you're in the mood to play at the time you want to play: Bond, Aliens, Marvel, X-Files, etc.
