Uh uh.. In fact Lara is still active and making concerts .. Celine is out since a long time.. Lara is much well trained in technique .. Celine did abuse about her voice and now is paying the conseguence.. Celine is a singer,. Lara is a performer and storyteller, no one gives emotional and passional performance like her

This was at the JUNO Awards ceremony, the canadian equivalent of the Grammy. Being able to belt and sustain like this, while being seated, is one of her unique abilities. She uses this from times to times 😀 This song Love by Grace made Lara a star in Brazil when it was used in the soundtrack of a famous local soap opera called Laços de Familia. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/brxgo6qJv97cqnk.html It topped the brazilian charts for a few months and she was invited in all major brazilian tv shows. Then the song became a recurrent in almost every single brazilian singer contests, the ultimate song to prove your vocal power. So a lot of brazilian covers including a famous recent one from Gabriel Henrique. But Lara’s version is untouchable and remains the absolute reference. I said her version and not the original because Love by Grace is in fact a cover she made of a country song by Wynona Judd. But it was completely revisited as a ballad for Lara and Lara’s version is the one that made it a success WW. After this brazil tour, to thanks her brazilian fans who received her as a queen, she translated one of her most famous french hits in portuguese: "Si tu m’aimes" became "Meu grande amor". It was used again for another soap opera titled "O Clone" and became another big hit in Brazil 😀 Unfortunately no live recording available of her delivery of this other song.

As a Brazilian, I can't say if I'm a fan or is trauma, but we all LOVE this song from a Soup Opera "Laços de Família". They use this song in the scene when they shave the protagonist head (she was going through chemotherapy)

Lara, my love. She is one of the best, if not the best performers in existence. There might be a very few better singers out there, but this is not just singing, it is performing. Stage presence, conveying emotions, expressions and singing, that is performing. Without showing too much skin and sht like that, she is the Queen of Emotions. My queen.

Hummm... where do i start? Céline is french canadian and Lara lived in Québec Province from age 20/30 they both have the french accent, they both pronounce certain english words the same way ( That's where it is comparable) Céline is great so is Lara but the tone of Lara is really unique, Céline is more nasal. I love them both, but in my book Lara is in an other league. Comparing the two of them is opening Pandora's box.

To me… the fact that she does command is from the get home! Seated!! Difficult to exude power for most. No jewelry or sparkles to distract from her face, which is where she wants our eyes. No shoes! Vulnerable styling. Lovely black dress just for pure class. The voice and song… incomparable each and every time. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Hello, merci pour votre réaction et analyse , vous avez entièrement raison personne et au niveau de lara pour transmettre l'émotion du chanson et comme vous avez bien dis , les chanteurs et chanteuse ce concentré sur leur voix alors que lara ne ce concentré pas sur ça voix, ce qui permet à lara toute cette gestuelle de corps et visage pour vous toucher en plein cœur. Vous avez réagi à 4 chansons je crois de lara et vous avez toujours le même ressenti la même émotion. Il y a une chanson vr1iment exceptionnelle que vois devez faire c'est un duo lara et Johnny Hallyday plu grand chanteur français de tout les temps. La requiem pour un fou stade de France 1998. Vous allez voir une lara comme jamais vous 2vez vu , une vrai tigresse

Celine delivers big performances and shows, you feel part of something big. But IMHO it’s a bit cold and impersonal. Lara on the reverse draws you immediately in a story and channel emotions to your soul: this is an intimate 1-2-1 conversation, you feel as you said that she is singing to you, just for you. And I am not talking here about the vocal tone differences: the richer fuller sound from Lara vs the more frontally placed nasal tone of Celine, and, at least to my ears, I know some perceive it differently, the more pleasant and satisfying upper register Lara is able to deliver using this rounder velvety tone.

Lara is one of my favorite singers. There are not many artists who can convey emotion the way Lara does and she's such a great story teller. Diana Navarro is amazing too, but different.

I just discover new layers of depth of her skills, just realizing that if you already sing like you were born with it, you can just focus on the stories, feel them, tell them, express them. The rest is just always there anyway, you can see the difference with ie. younger good singers, who need to focus on their singing performance. That was the soundtrack to a very famous Brazilian soap-opera, which portrayed the drama of a family having one of them fighting leucemia. And this song were the theme to this dying character. MAN!!!!! The whole country cried in unison to this one. As a born Brazilian, that was such a nostalgic punch to the stomach and I loved it

As always, the fantastically beautiful, strong but velvety voice of Lara Fabian. Love by grace is originally a country song.. Originally recorded by Wynonna Judd in the album Revelations, the country feel has been stripped from the song and in Fabian's hands it becomes a stunning ballad to be a theme song in the succesful Brasilian soap serie : Lacos de famillia Why she is sitting here on a chair on stage is a mystery to me. There are better performances of "love by grace" than this one when she sings standing up.

A very famous tv show hoster from the USA got disgusted when he heard about the comparation beetween Lara and Celine, and he said that even before watching performing live that night. He said something like: No, forget about Celine Dion, this woman right here is something beyond, I'd would say a mix of Andea Bocelli and Barbra Streisand. ❤ Higher lever tho.

If judging by facial expressions alone 😉 - this performance has the edge in a head-to-head competition 😃 That being said, _with tongue in cheek_ , I might add - I'm sort of relieved and happy, actually, when folks stumble across or even when they're pointedly directed to this particular performance since *less than strict devotion* to the now legendary ''From Lara with Love'' Concert minimizes chances that those newly introduced to this artist _and not inclined to investigate further_ could walk away with the impression that that glorious night in Montreal circa December 1999 represented something of a fluke ..especially if not readily exposed to performances of comparably high quality delivered in distinctly differing venues.
