One place you must visit when you come to Puebla is Tacos Árabes Bagdad for their famous tacos arabes. This legendary spot has been serving up some of the best street food in Puebla for over 90 years. It is one of the popular Mexican foods to try.
We arrived early in the morning to see the whole preparation of this popular food in Mexico, from the making of the spit of meat, to cooking, and of course eating. We were blown away by the size of this Mexican street food taco, but also of the flavour. The taste was so delicious, especially with their homemade sauces. This was a Mexican food tour of one of the most popular street foods in Mexico, the legendary tacos árabes in Puebla, Mexico.

التاكو العربي يكون بلحم الضأن أي الخروف أي الغنم و العرب لا يستخدمون لحم الخنزير و لا يربون الخنازير و لا يأكلونها و لا يطبخونها و لا يلمسونها بأيديهم لأنها محرمة في الدين الإسلامي . العرب اخترعوا سيخ الشاورما و أسموها شاورما و لم يسموها دونر كباب مثلما قادهم الاتىاك و نقلوا عن السوريين هذه الوصفة و لم يسموها تاكو عربي كما أسموها المكسيكيين و حتى الخبز الذي تضع فيه اللحم و هو الخبز السوري أو كما يسموها في بعض الأماكن بإسم الخبز الشامي وهو وصفة أخذها معهم السوريين حبن هاجروا إلى أمريكا اللاتينية أوائل القرن العشرين و أطلقوا عليه اسم (البيتا برد )أي (خبز البيتا )

There are a ton of taco places here in Puebla, and they all tend to marinade the meat in slightly different ways. You should also try the tortas with araba or pastor.

Hey, hey! 😊 I am finally piecing together why the meat on some Mexican tacos are cooked on the spit. I had the impression that it's a Middle Eastern way of preparing food, but I guess there's a lot of global food commonalities I am yet to discover. (Adobo eureka moment ~✨️🧡 😂) I would love to try all those meaty treats outside the 40 day period leading to Lent, where I try to avoid eating meat. Thanks for the wonderful stories about this Arabian influenced taco episode. I hope Steph also ate as much of those hefty wraps as much as Chris did. Hahaha! See you two next meal. 😊✨️🧡

In Mexico there was a lot of Lebanese immigration. The name of the tacos is Arabic or "Arabe" , referring to that part of the world.

Tacos Arabes from Puebla are not made from pork they are made from sheep. Tacos al pastor are made from pork.
