Great shouts there, i think HeadphoneReviewHQ is quite good and Phototristan has a nice reviewing style also, even if he's not a headphone channel as such. But yeah, Tyll is simply a giant in the headphone world.

I'm psyched as I just picked up the Sennheiser Amperiors no less, brand new for £99 at my local HMV. That's an absurd price for them, next closest price in the UK is just under £200. Can't wait to give them a try. I've admittedly been more interested in the V-Moda M100's but at £99 for the Amperior you would have to be crazy not to snap them up.

Great review! I agree wholeheartedly! The form factor is perfect, even for people with glasses. They can be worn for hours with no discomfort! I even prefer them over my Yamaha HS80M monitors… they're like a microscope for sound!

for portables (on ear) headphones this is one of (if not the best) for that. Sportscasters use it on espn (if you watch football and basketball at least) they wear it all the time in arenas where its noisy and needs isolation

Being a guitar player and a part-time drummer, surrounded by DJs...So awkward. Love the headphones, though; exciting, but well-balanced. Some people say they're borderline scooped, but I won't go as far as to say that.

Its been 11 years and I still own this. Its by far the best headphones I have ever owned, however I would be keen to know which headphones are a better replacement? I am an audiophile who likes to edit and remaster music from analogue (vinyl) to digital. any ideas?

Mike, your videos are great. I'm thinking about getting the 25s, but I'm torn between these and the Focal Pro. I know they are very different headphones but I need to make a decision between sound and comfort and maybe the Sennheiser 25 may be more comfortable and sound good enough? But then again the focal Pros are amazing. what do you think?

The ATH M50 as well as the MDR 1R. There is no doubt he has done his homework when it comes to headphones. I just prefer Tyll and hifiguy because they seem more experienced.

just cause the bass isn't as boosted as beats, 50 cent, and ludacris doesn't mean its boring.. how can powerful vocals, and clean (uncongested sound) be boring... these headphones are it

Kiet Huynh these are 70ohm impedance headphones, so using them without an amp isn't a good idea.your sound was as you said cause your laptop didn't have enough power to drive them.i bought these too but my sound card can support till 600ohm, and they don't sound as you said.they sound freaking amazing

i am actually returning it right now. It is not that good. The volume rather low and the headphones struggling a lot for reproduce the bass. I try to use it at home with my laptop and burn in it like in a month but it did not get much better. So i end up return it?
