I love stories like this. I collect old Farmall tractors. There was a story about a farmer who purchased a super M TA tractor in 1954,farmed with it for about a month and then died from a heart attack. The widow sold all of the equipment except the tractor, then rented the farm out. About ten years ago she passed away and the children were going to have an auction and sell the property when the auction company asked them about the tractor. They said it's been sitting in the barn since dad died. Apparently everything was original, even the factory oil in the engine. This tractor was already a rare collectable, because International Harvester only made these tractors for approximately 10 months in 1954. It later sold for just under one hundred thousand dollars.

400hrs in cleaning time! That is crazy. That's like almost 3 months at 40hrs a week just cleaning it. That is dedication

When I was 12, our house was being rebuilt after it burned to the ground. One of the carpenters had a 63 split back. He let me ride along when he went down town on lunch runs. I still smile when I think of those rides.

This reminds me of the car a friend of mine bought brand new in 63. Silver with red interior, 327, 4spd... The last I checked his was up on blocks🍷😎

I found a older one I think it was a 56 and a old Chevelle both been in barn for over 50 yrs and both in great shape the Corvette was like new yet .the lady's husband passed a while ago .I think they are still there.i told her what she had she said their not for sale .she is the nicest lady in the world .I thanked her for letting me look at them

That's truly "All original" brake pads belts hoses, I'm sure the tires were dry rotted a bit after 30 years.

Kudos to the guy on the assembly line that made those original belts !

My husband has in our garage he is the original owner of a 1979 Camaro Z-28 it’s all original as he bought it. He hardly drives it so it has about 40,000 miles on it. It’s burgundy. Just a gorgeous cat. T tops too. Someday it will go to our daughter

I got both of my late aunt's car's. One aunt had a 64 Biscayne 4dr. My other aunt had a 66 Bel Air 2dr post. Both cars have less than 50,000 miles on them.

Soldier came home on leave, bought a Corvette 63 split window, put it in the garage put it up on the blocks and got stationed in Germany, married a girl there and 12 years later, had 3 kids and still never been home. His father had the same name. Got so angry, he sold the car for 12 hundred dollars to my friend Terry, just to get it out of the garage. That was in 1975.

Very cool. My wife’s family has an old Chevy truck with less than 100k miles just sitting in a barn. It was her grandpas but he passed…..30yrs ago. Truck could be late 70s early 80s.

I hope he gave the awards to the lady .

I found My 1968 c 10 chevy pickup the same way.100% original plugs,wire,brakes,everything ,original 58,000 miles and i have the bill of sale and the original window sticker along with the owners manual .and to boot the chalk marks are still on the cross member and the firewall ..

The 63 is my favorite year. I've always wanted the split window with the ramjet 327. But they are out of my price range

Just out of the service thumbin through the classifides an ad that said old chevy somehow caught my eye the lady didnt know the year or even if it ran but i had that thousand dollars in my hand It was way back in the corner of this old ramshackle barn With 30 years of dust and dirt on that green Army tarp And when I pulled the cover off, it took away my breath What she called a Chevy was a 63 Corvette I changed the year to match the one found in this video but it reminded me of the song RIDIN WITH PRIVATE MALONE and if u havent heard the song go give it a listen

I have a couple of questions about this story. The are allways rats in barns. What kept them from chewing up everything? Plus, you let rubber (seals, belts, etc.) and it dry rots.
