I think Ray trusted Mick ever since they were in the gulag in season 1, but like he said, none of the others really trusted Mick to be the good guy, to make the right choices.

I can't blame Mick after this episode. The Legends just yelled at him because he told Snart, even though, he told them he thought it was a illusion, and even Stein theorized it being a illusion. And at the end the team even revealed they NEVER trusted Mick even after he was willing to sacrifice himself to kill the "Time Bastards", before Snart took his place. I'm hoping Mick is pulling a double agent move and the Legends apologize to him afterwards.

I actually understand why Mick did what he did the only person that really treated him in a good way was Ray. Ray even told the others that they never trusted him enough.

Another LotR reference, Vixen's whole speach about using the spear was very much was mirroring Boromir's. Also, one does not simply walk into a bartlefield.

I think it makes sense that the spear tries to tempt Mick into changing his past, considering that he told his younger self to be better than him in the first season.

For me, I saw Mick leaving from a mile away, especially with Len as a factor. The legends this season have been treating Mick with such disrespect, even after he's saved a lot of them and proved he's a valuable member of the team. And what does he get in return? Constant insults to his intellegence, jokes about him having brain damage, and no one even asking him how he is after his partner of 30 years dies.. that kind of trauma can do a lot of damage. The Legends treated him horribly, and in the end Ray even brought it up and owned up to how horrible they treated him. So which would you pick? A team of people who don't respect or trust you? Or your best friend who treats you like an equal and respects you as that equal? I hope that the Legends somehow apologize to Mick and fully own up to what they did to him.. but I am glad that Mick left to be with Len instead

Just gonna point something out that is rarely ever commented on Mick/Heat Wave's theme in LoT is the coolest. It's so good.

A Sudden Chill came over me as I saw this in my notifications.

The way I see the vanishing point is imagine there is a version of everything in our time doing exactly what we did in the past at all times and in the future doing what will will at all times. Time travel is the ability to go to these seperate situations. It's like a timeline in that way and you can go wherever on that line that you put a dot. The vanishing point doesn't have that repetition of event and this timeline is just the dot. When the dot moves down the line is creates the line and destroys the line it passes. This means the only spot on the timeline is the dot. There is no moving the dot away from its path, there is simply the dot. The metaphor kind of changed, but there is two metaphors in there if you look. It's confusing but I hoped it helps.

I know the next episode Mick realizes he made a mistake and when he restores the Legends memory's and personality however they better not be angry after all they have no one to blame for "Heatwaves betrayal" then themselves. Trust goes a long way.

my problem with this episode was> they can go to the time after the battle or before the battle just to avoid the battlefield to take the blood Maybe similar situation could happened in other episodes too, but this time, it just really bugs me ever since they Sara said that it is impossible to stop the battle. But history records the event of the Christmas Truce, when the soldier stopped the battle and play football in the No Man's Land in spirit of Christmas... (1914 tho). It really pissed me off how they all treated Mick, I know he is still the violent guy that likes to fire things up and steal stuff but when it comes to the group, he is loyal. He has risked himself for them and saved them many times. They would all still be stranded in time if not for him. Plus I really like all the development the character has had during this show. In Flash he was only a crazy arsonist but here he started growing little by little, his history when young I thought it was really good and his interaction with his younger self also. His turning to Chronos, he got captured because they abandoned him and he returned to the group!! His time as Chronos made him learn a lot about time and time travel, he has prove himself very useful with that. And he was going to be the one sacrificing himself until Snart knocked him out!!! COME ON, he deserves everyone´s trust, they are just being stupid about it

I agree that the vanishing point has a "timeline" (heavy on the quotes), but that it only can be visited in the present - case in point, we see the post-occulus destruction, and we see that there was clearly something that was present there before the destruction of the occulus. I think the Vanishing Point exists in a location that cannot be manipulated by time travel. That's why the Waverider went to "the present" in s1e15 "Destiny" instead of, say, before the crew got captured

It is a little weird that they included LOTR references from the movies that is not in the books. Aragorn's speech is a great scene, but it is not in the book. It is just a little nitpick, from a great episode from a really fun show.

Think of it this way... The vanishing point could be a safe zone for the time masters to work in and out of. This way no such aberrations can occur there whilst they work with the timeline. That time sequence will just move on and no time master will be able to go back or forth in the vanishing point timeline. It would be so chaotic if time there was changed because all time masters work in the timeline in his focused point and if that point was fucked with, numerous points of the timeline could be screwed with at once.

At this point I'm of the mind that Captain Cold needs to return to the Flash and Rogues become a major part of the story again. Snart was one of the best non-speedster villain and acted as secondary big bad to Reverse Flash in season 1. That really helped the show from getting too stale by taking a break from Thawne plot from time to time to focus on the Rogues formation plot. At least part of the reason the second and third seasons are getting so much flack is that we spend so much time on the big bad speedster to the point that the other villains either work for them or they are disregarded after their one off appearance never to return again. When they took Snart and Mick off the show it definitely hurt the Flash by eliminating that secondary recurring villain element to it. As much as I liked that Snart reformed and died for the team I think for the sake of the Flash it makes more sense to bring Snart back as a villain and try to reset the Rogues plot for the next season to start giving the Flash recurring foes who aren't speedsters and develop them to become viable threats an worth wild characters.
