In the Nixon episode in that season Constantine makes a comment about their ride being a little on the nose. Sara replies "WE LEFT SUBTLETY BACK IN NEW MEXICO " I think the that ship sailed when they Voltroned into a talking plush toy to fight a time demon in the Wild West

Gotta say, I do miss the more serious tone of the first season, but the recent stuff does often get a laugh out of me. I especially loved Damien Darhk in season 3. He was the highlight of that season. (Well, he's the highlight of every Arrowverse thing he's in, but still.)

As a person that only watches The Flash and Black Lightning, I am confused about the context for most of these (except the Season 3 clips, because I watched it and Professor Stein's death, because that was in one of the crossovers), but I like it.

Season 4 is the worst one for me. What I liked about the show is that it was about time travel and actual historical events.things science can explain. season 4 has too much supernatural and fantasy for me to like anymore. When I first started watching it, I didn't think there would be shape shifters, werewolves or dragons. Time travel is already amazing enough without that. Plus I miss Rip, amaya, stein and jax. The show isn't the same without them.

I massively prefer season 4, it was the best season for me. The addition of Constantine was perfect, and the magic (both performed by him and pertaining to the magical creatures) was awesome! I always felt that the show's writing, acting and costumes weren't good enough to sell the history it was indulging in (it was very unconvincing), whereas magic is so unknown that the show's tone fits perfectly with it.

They combined the totems of Zambesi(Vixen's home country) in order to create an avatar to fight Mallus. The avatar was suppose to represent good and pure against Mallus' bad and wickedness. They fail the first and it ended up looking kinda Cronenbergy that Mick Burned it out of it misery. On the next try good ole Nate Heywood pulled a Ray Stantz by thinking of something pure A.K.A Big Blue Fluff Ball A.K.A. Beebo.
