Oh you're right! I heard/read somewhere Jes doesn't eat fruit. Lol, poor Jes xD Maybe it was a fake one, like a thing to bit on or put in the mouth and then spit it back in 'the spitting bucket' many sets have when filming food scenes. The actors will be full at some point or aren't 'allowed' to eat stuff so they use spit buckets xD
