I have the Derbi GPR 125 2 stroke variant and let me tell you, it is one of the most stable bikes I have ever ridden, the power delivery is just amazing and it is so incredibly fun to mess with people, since a lot of people would think it’s a moped, when it’s actually faster than their car 😂

I agree, I have the Derbi gpr 125 4T now, but its all the same build, bar the engine. I've never ridden another bike that feels so perfectly stable and just right. Guess that helped Marquez do so well all those years ago when he was in the 125 GP riding the Derbi gpr.

I rode a Cagiva Mito last Weekend! it is ROWDY! 1000-7000 rpm, it feels like youre standing still, 7000-8000 rpm, the first kick steps in, anything above 8000 rpm it feels like someone rode a bus into your back!! I would have never imagined a 125 would be that fun! When that Resonator exhaust kicks in, it is instand fun! Such a great bike

The bikes I grew up riding, The Mito was a stunning bike but reliability wise over a few months road riding they struggled. Same as the aprillia, they were commonly found in garages with seized engines. The real head turner on the circuit though was always the Suzuki RGV 125 And the Honda NSR 125 was real baby CbR with great handling and a bomb proof engine

I am from New Zealand. We were lucky enough to get around 300 RG150 Suzukis in 1998. Originally built in Thailand for the SE Asian market, some made it here. Most of them were used as small capacity race bikes in a local series. I was lucky enough to recently find an unraced example with 5200 km on the clock. The bike does an indicated 180km/h. Most fun bike I have ever owned!

I had a RD 125LC mk 2 ( 16" front wheel and Bikini fairing ) with a 175 cc big bore kit and Stan Stevens tune, Boyson racing reeds and the original Micron exhaust. Yes sir. Got a 1996 JD10 & finally restored it last year. Sadly, one of the previous owners decided it would be a good idea to paint the bike in KTM Orange. Then again, it was the perfect canvas for doing something "different", but still HONDA. So i powdercoated the tank in blood orange to match the new plastics in R-119 Flash Red and got a bright blue seat. Rounded out with yellow number plates & black rims. She looks like a little XR 600R now. Love it. Rides so well, still.

You don't even tell him about the cool drive plate clutch, 7 speed transmission, and a sub 300 lb wet weight. A delightful ensemble.

“Only”, anyway isnt true Rs is always known as the fastest, Mito as the handlest With polini 160 u can reach 190 km/h Rs250 reaches 210 km/h

@@aaronrockefeller5077 I’ve ridden both was a mechanic at a Aprillia dealership and they won’t do no more than a 105 unless you changed the gearing, it’s the 7th gear on the mitos that gave them the edge, the 6 speed mitos were shite in comparison to the 7 speeds

We had a rs125 with the 180 polini kit we got in from Spain and my god that was just as quick acceleration as a rs250 if not better.
