Beinharter Thrash und Death Metal mit einem keifenden, furchteinflößenden Gesang, der keinen Zweifel daran lässt, dass diese Band mit Dämonen kämpft: Das ist der Sound von Legion Of The Damned, der "Legion der Verdammten".
1992 in den Niederlanden als "Occult" gegründet, haben Legion Of The Damned einige Häutungen in Form von Besetzungswechseln hinter sich. Sänger Maurice Swinkels und Drummer Erik Fleuren sind die einzigen verbliebenen Gründungsmitglieder.
Die Texte von Legion Of The Damned beinhalten, passend zum Namen, klassische Horror-Elemente, dunkle okkulte und religiöse Themen sowie apokalyptische Visionen. Ihre Alben heißen "Malevolent Rapture" (böswilliger Rausch), "Sons Of The Jackal" (Söhne des Schakals) oder "Cult Of The Dead" (Kult der Toten).
Dennoch ist die Band nicht komplett humorlos unterwegs. Zum Album "Cult Of The Dead" bekamen die Käuferinnen und Käufer einen Block Käse, in den das Logo der Band eingeritzt war. Eine kleine Verbeugung vor ihren niederländischen Wurzeln.

i remember when i discovered this band, it was about 2010, amazing year for metal itself, amazing band, ultil this days i listen to them here and there, their sounds helped me alot in life, in bad situations of situations where i needed brutality against enemies.. thank you so much guys, keep the work going ! hail legion
